welcome to MFP, good for you for taking that first step to health! I am down 63 pounds now with 40 to 60 to go & the difference to me is huge. All the best to you in your journey & do feel free to friend me if you need a weight loss buddy :)

trying weighing, it is way more accurate & use grams, i noticed a huge difference. Scales are cheap, check walmart. You will be surprised :) i know i was :) It's become a habit now to carry my weigh scale with me at work. My co workers are now used to it & don't comment any more lol

Do you use a food scale & weigh everything? You should be losing weight if you are really eating 1200 calories. Once i started to weigh all my food, i got my portion sizes under control & the weight has come off nicely.

you can weigh your food in grams, so much more accurate than measuring :) there can be a huge difference between measuring & weighing. i also weigh my apples & all fruit just to be safer as again there is a wide variation of weights

Some folks don't eat back exercise calories but i think most eat back 50% to 75%

welcome to MFP. I'd suggest weighing your foods, making sure portion sizes are right. I started eating healthier, increasing vegetables & lean proteins & am down 62 pounds. I've not eliminated "treats" i work them in my daily calories. I'm now off my blood pressure meds & hope to stop others soon :) all the best to you

Walking is the best exercise! But if that is not doable, what about swimming? Strength training is always good too. You can lose weight without exercising but it's great to be able to do some kind of exercise. Concentrate on one day at a time or one step at at time & build on that. For me instead of thinking omg i have 120…

14 pounds in 10 weeks is a great loss. Be happy with what you have done so far :) 1200 calories is the minimum one should eat. Make sure you are weighing your food & logging accurately. & weight loss is not always steady, there are ups & downs.

I don't have cheat days, i work a treat into my daily calories or work out a bit more to get a few hundred extra. I'm eating enough yummy food that i rarely crave anything. I experiment with spices. I weigh everything & pre-log my food each day. I never say i can't have anything, I choose to not have it at this time. If I…
