give it time, 4 days is nothing. I'd also suggest weighing all your food as opposed to measuring. Weighing for me is more accurate than measuring by cups. i can fill the cupsto overflow but i can't the grams Make sure you log accurately as possible. The weight will come off

Exercise is good for health & wellbeing but not totally necessary for weight loss. It comes down to calories in calories out. Eat less than you burn & you will lose. Weigh all your food, pick correct entries in the food log. Don't expect to lose fast, better to lose slow & learn how to sustain this for a long time. Nothing…

Welcome to MFP, :) Lots of great information & resources here. I'm not at my goal but am down 65 with maybe 40 to go. It can be done. Read the stickies at the top, they have excellent info All the best to you in your journey to health

surprising isn't it? i found that out myself. Now i weigh pretty much everything even at work
-
i get up from my desk every half hour or an hour & walk round the halls, it helps :)

are you weighing all your food? you are most likely eating more than you think. As well give this some time, weight loss does not happen overnight nor is it always consitent
-
No need to go to 1200 right away, you could probably go to 1500 to 1600 & happily lose.
-
welcome to MFP :) all the best to you in your weight loss journey :)

It's not a plateau yet, just hang in there & do not let your bathroom scale defeat you, It's only one of the weight loss tools we can use Also make sure you weigh all your food with a scale & choose entries that are correct. I find using grams is easier. I'm constantly trying to improve my logging & find that helps
-
welcome to MFP! It's a great source of info, motivation. I started back in May and am down 64 pounds with around another 40 to 60 to go. It's not been easy & currently i'm seriously struggling but am back on track :) break your weight-loss into small doable goals, perhaps 10 pounds at a time & celebrate when you reach that…

Water weight comes off first & gives you that wow i can do this feeling. Are you weighing all your food? that helps to to make sure portions & calories are correct. I started off eyeballing my portions & found i was way off. I have a food scale at home & work now I'd keep eating some of the exercise calories back. If you…

a scale is only one one tool to track your progress, don't let it bother you. Look at measurements as well as overall fitness. The weight will come off & i totally agree on a weight trend programme.
-
you may be eating healthy but are you weighing all your food intake? that helps a bunch for portion control :) & as others have stated it will not happen overnight .
-

welcome to MFP, it is doable! Break your weight loss down into small 10 pound steps & celebrate your success at meeting each mini goal. I'm down 64 pounds currently with around 60 more to go :)

break it down into small 10 pound steps & celebrate your success at each successful mini goal. It feels so much better to know that you can make the mini goals. It's discouraging when you first start knowing that you have a lot to lose. When i started i had 100 to 120 to lose & currently after a bumpy December i'm down 64…

are you using a food scale to measure all your food? that could be part of the problem. I'm on 1400 calories & it can make a huge difference

if you burn more calories than you eat, you will lose, that's pretty much the secret. I try to make sure they are healthy nutritious calories rather than junk food but that's my current battle
-
