I pretty much don't. I enabled negative calories because otherwise it seemed to be giving me absurd amounts of calories as my goal. If I'm really hungry on a very active day, though, I might eat more than usual at the third meal, which I prefer to keep light.

I don't want MFP to keep adding to my calorie goal, so I enabled negative calories adjustments from Fitbit. I do record weightlifting as a cardio activity, though, so for that period of time MFP would be higher in calories expended than Fitbit. Any way I do it, it seems a bit off. HIIT on the Concept2 rower is killer. Quite unpleasant but it gets the job done. I'm an old man, so I throw in lots of pickleball which is a fun 90 minutes of sweating, and lift three days per week-- deads, power cleans, squats, various wallball and smashball routines. Meat and nuts for breakfast, period. Good luck.

Protein powder with nonfat milk and frozen berries. Hard boil a dozen eggs and throw out the yolks, dice the whites up with diced boiled chicken breasts,and moisten with nonfat Italian salad dressing.

On a heavy deadlift, a PB attempt, I heard an awful crack-crunch sound as I completed the lift. It was a plastic cup, stepped on by someone behind me, someone I knew actually. Very funny, guys!
