we did finger foods and I went to bed at 9:30. I am actually down 3 pounds this month and didn't want to gain it all back in one sitting! lol! it's the cheese and crackers that get me. going to bed early helped--cannot overeat if I am asleep!

I will be watching this thread too--I have the same problem. Sweets--that's what I go to for comfort, when I am bored, when I am happy--you name it--there is a cookie to make it better. Often I can brew a cup of tea and that helps, but not always.

2017 goals: a book a week, reach my goal weight which is 145 (180 now), drink more water, get to bed earlier, pay off debts

carrots, oranges, peppers or watermelon help me. you get a lot of volume for not much calories. and the hassle of peeling an orange is often enough that I don't want it any more!

Any and all Moosewood Restaurant cookbooks. Healthy and creative but not kooky.

oatmeal or avocado toast

shocked bad = cheese, although why I was shocked is a mystery--it's all fat, but so yum. shocked good = watermelon, peppers, cherry tomatoes--you can eat a lot of volume for not that much calories

matcha. that frothy green tea-wanna be--ick. I love green tea, but that matcha--not for me.

Iced tea?? Straight up black tea has the caffeine kick but not the calories. Green tea has about 1/3 the caffeine of coffee-I drink green tea all day long. No buzz from overdoing it. Unsweetened so no calories there either.

You look amazing! I get that mostly you are losing for health, but your smile is just gorgeous and such pretty big eyes!!! Wonderful! You should be very proud of your efforts!

A few reasons. I never had trouble with my weight until I hit 40 and then BAM gravity happened. So now I am 46 and have about 30 pounds to take off. So reason #1 -- I don't like looking like a dumpy middle aged mom. I want to be a fit mom (not model skinny, but fit). Reason #2 -- I suffered with a back injury for a year…

cookies. there is no such thing as enough cookies. I like cookies loaded with stuff, like an everything cookie, but I will eat any cookie anywhere at any time.

the 100-130 calorie Siggi's Greek Yogurts do it for me--the orange ginger is delicious, strawberry, peach, vanilla tastes like pudding. add some fruit for very little calories and it's like dessert. OR and apple and a tablespoon of peanut butter. OR a hard boiled egg or two. I gotta have some protein to keep going

I have nothing useful to add about weight loss but those puppies are the cutest. And the mama dog is just gorgeous! Congrats!

right now I am 5'8" tall, 170 pounds, size 12. at my most fit I was 140 and size 6 fit great. my goal now is 150.
-
I make overnight oats--1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup soy milk in a mason jar in the fridge overnight. In the morning, an extra splash of soy milk + berries--delish.

5'8" tall current weight = 170 goal weight = 145-150 but firm not jiggly like I am now!!! and if anyone knows how to get rid of the lumpy cellulite on the thighs that would be GREAT...

My favorite is a sweet potato with black beans, avocado and salsa on top.

Two things--about a week of solid sleep and a clean house (cleaned by someone else, not me!!!)

Hello all. So glad I found this group. I am on Celexa, have been for a while, and have packed on 33 pounds. Happy weight is 140 and as I write this...173. Awful. The past four years have been super hard in my family and that certainly doesn't help. Four years ago my DH was suicidal and then moved out for 6 months, hence…

I am 5'8", currently 173. Happy weight is 140. That takes a lot of work! I am aiming right now for 150 and then see where we are.

Jicama dipped in guac is terrific. Carrot chips are yummy too.

I had three out at once...all impacted. Mashed potatoes, applesauce, smoothies, soft scrambled eggs, blended soups or just broth. Room temperature was best--don't know why but too hot or too cold bugged me. It was pretty awful, but I wasn't put out for it, just local numbing so I could hear everything. And then drove…

Plain normal oreos are the BEST. Having said that...the mint ones are amazing (I like the mint/chocolate combo). The pumpkin spice ones in the fall are yummy and the coconut ones are too. The peanut butter ones are yummy and I just this week had the s'mores---delicious. But then I never met a cookie I didn't like--of any…

You know how a group of lions is a pride of lions? A group of crows is a MURDER of crows. Love that.

I recently put Aqualert on my phone to keep track of my water and I am easily going over the 64 oz it recommends. I have a trenta unsweetened iced green tea from Starbucks every morning, so there is 30-ish ounces right there. Then I drink 1-2 mugs of green tea--8 oz each--I actually measured. Then on the way home from work…
