  • This is the first time I've been back to this thread since my last post in 12/2018!! I have managed to break my stall with lots of help, but am always looking for other sleevers still actively managing their progress/maintenance as this is a never-ending lifestyle. If you would like to buddy up I use MFP in conjunctions…
  • Hi, Caren! I am in this group and have been guilty of laxity on keeping up on these things. I am a post bariatric patient, had a vertical gastric sleeve (VGS) 10/2015. I have yet to reach my goal weight, but am still working on getting there. I was stuck in a stall for about 2 yrs!! Luckily with a little help from several…

  • Hello! Just found this thread today. I'm in the process of recovering from surgery at the moment, but am willing to do what I can while on the mend as I am not allowed to move around too much until cleared by the surgeon to ensure that the incision is beyond the risk of reopening. My goal is to be in decent physical shape…
  • I'm so sorry that you are feeling so terribly. You have gotten some wonderful advice here. Trust me, I've been where you are now and worse. It is difficult to overcome, but your family loves you, use them for support. Tell your wife about how you are feeling just as you related above, I'm sure she will be your biggest…
  • I'm in, too! I am a bariatric surgery patient, 3 yrs out, and have been struggling to lose the remaining 50 lbs for about 3 yrs. Any support I can get is welcome! :)
  • I'm 3 yrs out & still struggling to lose the rest of the weight I was estimated to lose. I was down a significant amount but gained about 10 lbs back. So now, I'm trying to get back on track so I can continue my journey. Also looking for friend here on MFP.
  • I'm still trying to break the mother of all stalls - 1.5 yrs - which I am coming to realize was due to my slipping back into some old bad habits a bit too often. No more indulgences on a regular schedule, only for when have reached a personal goal. I've got to try to not be so hard on myself because that does bring on the…
  • Just found this discussion: I'm 3 yrs out as of 10/2018. I'm stuck at an approximate 50 lb weight loss. My highest wgt was 283, but I've been stuck at about 230 for 1.5 yrs; nothing I have tried has worked. Now I'm back on my 2-wk pre-op diet to try and break this beyond stubborn stall.
