Penny - love the pictures. I sometimes wonder. Do you ever grow used to waking up and seeing such beauty just outside your windows? Linda/IA

Meg - Welcome back! Missed your posts. Miriam - hope you are feeling better soon. I hate summer colds too. Beth - love the pic of your son and his prom date! Too bad those smiles did not last all night. Feeling a little worn down today. I think I overdid it yesterday with both a walk and a bike ride. My butt bones are…

tamyena - Welcome! Tell us a little more about yourself and let us know what you want to be called. Lisabridwell - I have to admit that I don't have a good system for keeping up with these ladies. Some days I just try to catch up in the evening and some days I check in periodically throughout the day. Just depends on how…

Becca - will be thinking of you and DH tomorrow. {{{hugs}}} Linda/IA

Paula – Welcome! Glad to have another animal lover on the thread. Besides my three foster kittens and their momma, I have one dog and three cats. We sometimes refer to our home as the local zoo. One of the cats is what we refer to as our foster failure. He was an orphan kitten that was one of four brothers we fostered last…

Here is a pic of our Foster babies. Top to bottom - Clara, Elliot and Finley. They are three weeks old and getting more mobile and more playful every day.

Kat in Illinois – I am a Midwesterner for sure. I grew up in northwest IA, went to college at Iowa State, lived in Chicago for a couple of years, and have been in the Des Moines area for over 25 years. I was in Springfield this past March while chaperoning a high school chorus trip. We stopped there to tour the Lincoln…

Heather & Penny – Love your pictures. You both look so happy. Glad that you enjoyed your day together. :) Barbie – I’m sure your dance teacher really appreciated the party. Sounds like everyone had a great time! Kat in Illinois – I live in Urbandale, IA which is a suburb on Des Moines. What part of Illinois do you live in?…

I have loved all the puppy pictures! Our foster kittens turned 3 weeks old this week and I’ll have to get some pictures posted here. They are starting to get more adventurous and playful as they gain control of their legs. Momma still tries to move them and hide them under the couch. For some reason, she thinks they are…

Feel as if I'm always trying to catch up on posts... :( I am to the bottom of page 22, but heading off to bed so will have to catch up tomorrow. Mary from Minnesota – So glad to see you posting again. I am glad the medicine is working! Shep has grown and he looks so happy with his stick. Katla – I like yoga too, but don’t…

Miriam – Losing the kitten must have been heart-wrenching. I am so sorry. {{{hugs}}} Michelle – I was at a graduation party this weekend and met a lady who told me a story about snakes in her house. I won’t repeat it here, but suffice to say that I would have to move if I found snakes in my house. So, I guess maybe you can…

Well I was out of town and haven't been here in a few days. Imagine my surprise when I opened up our post to see only 18 new posts. Then I realized that I was still looking at May. LOL Found June and now making my way through 385 posts. Only got through 2 pages though so I will read more tomorrow. Had a business trip to…

Reading on my phone, so won't comment much except... Pip - wowsers on that hospital bill. Hopefully insurance is covering most of it, but still. :( Marcelyn - OMG. Praying the man from your hubby's work was just blowing off steam and everyone stays safe and sound. Finally2002016- welcome! I am in the same spot. The weight…

Just re-starting C25K myself. I had started but then I stopped to focus on a wellness program I was participating in. Anyway, starting again and I can only offer advice from what I've read. First, as someone already said, go slow as the purpose is to build endurance first and not speed. Second, take rest days. Your body…

Becca – I will be thinking of you all weekend and praying that you receive some positive news this coming week. <3 Lisa – When I read from my computer, I typically open up a separate document, type my post there, and then copy it into the reply box. I see some people quote and others do not. I think it typically depends on…

Hello Ladies! Well, after being MIA for a couple of months, I’m trying to catch up on a few posts. Glad to hear that Charlie’s surgery went well. Hoping we hear good news from Becca as well. I quote “graduated” from the wellness program I’ve been doing for the past three months. I have not lost as much as I would have…

Hi ladies – I have not been keeping up with everyone’s posts this month, but I just read today’s posts. It’s so nice to come back and hear what is happening in everyone’s lives. I’ve been completely swamped with work. I had actually planned to logon and catch up on a few things today, but that just did not happen. I’m…

Good evening ladies :) Well, my dad's surgery yesterday went well. It turned out they were able to do a much less invasive procedure than they originally thought would be necessary. He did not even have to spend the night. Surgery was at 7:30AM and they sent him home shortly after noon. He was in good spirits. Was hungry…

Sylvia - I've missed reading about how you ended up with the grandkids living with you but I'm sure they are much better off there for now. They are lucky to have you in their lives. Kjlamore - My dad is 80 as well so I hope things turn out as well as they did for your MIL. Barbie - oh poor Brandy. Hope that legs heals…

Hi Ladies - I've been MIA for a couple of weeks and just no way I can catch up on the hundreds of posts I have missed. Work has been very busy and doesn't look like it will slow down any time soon. But, I'm back and not going to check out again. I was accepted to a program in my town called uFit. It's a 12 week program and…

Hi All - Made it over to the February thread and marked it as a favorite. Have to go back and look at my January goals. It's been a bit of a roller coaster month, but overall positive. Will post more tomorrow. 'night all. Linda/IA

Well, I've skimmed and skipped again to get to the end of the posts. It's been a very active month here! Had a productive day getting some things done around the house on Saturday. Today, we drove up to see our oldest daughter Emma at college. Her birthday is tomorrow, so we took her out to lunch then went to the…

Happy Friday evening. I apologize in advance for the long post, but I’ve just caught up on two days’ worth of posts. Lenora – Happy dance for you finding that credit card. Cancelling them is such a pain in the #**! Mindy – I’m so sorry you are having a tough time financially. I agree that you should call your lender. I…

Hello everyone... Caught up on reading posts but I did not take notes so will not comment individually. Thinking of you all. Took the afternoon off work today to watch my daughter bowl in the junior varsity invitational. Coach took a group of girls whose averages are all very close and who have been rotating between…

Happy Monday everyone! Reading and typing on my phone so will be short. On hardwood floors, we have them in our kitchen and entryway and love them. Hubby put a rubber floor that looks like wood in the bathroom due to the moisture there. It looks and even feels like wood. Sylvia - LOL on your reference to a one butt…

Thinking about everyone in the snow... stay safe and warm and do not overdo it out there shoveling. <3 Pip - I'm certain that Kirby will exceed his doctor's expectation of "most people". If she continues to be a negative Nellie, then might be time to look for someone more encouraging for his continuing recovery. Mary -…

LOL - Oh, I'm sure many of us can relate to that. :)

Thinking of all of you on the east coast with the coming snow. Hope you are all able to stay safe and warm. Heading to another show choir competition this weekend, so we'll be on the road all day on Saturday. Meg - We'll actually be in your neck of the woods. The competition is at Millard West High School. Found this for…

Happy Wednesday! I ate a huge salad for lunch today and it made me happy - lettuce, purple cabbage, red & green bell peppers, carrots, cucumbers, tomato, and mandarin oranges. No cheese, no meat. Yea me! Linda/IA
