Another thing that helped me...make small goals. Even 5 pounds at a time. When I was 335 and couldnt even walk up the stairs without stopping every thrid or fourth step to catch my breath it was very daunting to look at the end that was *so* far away. I still am thinking in 5 pound goals and it helps me.

I have thought about the couch to 5K, I need to look into it. I really want to take up running. I am torn between wanting to do it and trying to decide if I need to wait until I lose some more weight....but running may help me accomplish that. Anyone else start running while significantly overweight and have any success…

I actually think this is a cool idea :) I just dont always have time to make posts everyday so I have not participated. I am impressed with the goal setting I am seeing though!

It isnt a race at all. I have stopped and started so much its just crazy. I went from 335 down to 200 and managed to put back on 50 again. I am plugging away at again :) One foot in front of the other...you got this.

Agreed. Personally I am happy with 1- 1.5 pounds. Considering we just past the holiday season I was satified with no gain! :D
