  • I too needed that. I am in the EXACT same boat. 1 lb though. :)
  • It happens to me too, but it generally passes. I have a feeling it has something to do with a nutrient, but I have yet to figure out what it is.

  • I'm just glad I can help. I'm here if you need any advice.
  • I have PCOS and have for years. I find that I have to constantly stay on top of my weight. I can gain weight way too easily. I find that really all of the normal things are helpful, with the addition of avoiding too many carbs, particularly refined carbs. I feel much better when I eliminate most, with the exception of…
  • My hair always starts falling out more heavily when I am losing weight. It happens every time. I have had my thyroid and hormone levels tested numerous times and besides Androgens, everything is normally perfectly normal. I usually notice it subsides after I stop losing weight.

  • I would just keep it steady at 1400 and watch the sugar intake as well. The default sugar setting on here is already somewhat low, but I would maybe cut it in half for awhile and see if that helps. I have found that natural fats, like avocado can help as well. You hear everyone say all the time that if you are eating at a…
  • Sometimes you are going to be hungry, that is the nature of weight loss. It should slow down the longer you have been eating the same amount of calories. Drink water, distract yourself, and make sure that your calories are set right.
  • Since you can really only treat the symptoms, unless you want a prescription for Metformin, a diagnosis is not always necessary. I treat mine with BCP, diet, exercise, and supplements. Some can manage it that way. The BCP help with the excess hair and hair loss. The weight is a combination of diet and exercise. There are…

  • I found a new app called Happify. It is designed to help combat the negative emotions we are all susceptible to. If nothing else, it could be a distraction?
  • Same here. I make sure to stretch my Psoas muscle, my quads, calves, and hamstrings especially.
  • I get that way if I eat too many refined carbs. If I have cereal for breakfast I am famished an hour later. If I eat plenty of protein and fat for breakfast then I am not hungry until lunch. Honestly, it sets me up to not get overly hungry for the rest of the day.
  • http://www.pcosdietsupport.com/diet-tips/pcos-omega-3-lower-testosterone/ http://www.whitelotusclinic.ca/blog/dr-erica-nd/reduce-testosterone-in-pcos-omega3/ Here are two sources. It looks like 3 grams? I only take 1000mg, so maybe that isn't enough. This is what I take:…
  • I want to commend you for getting started. I also think it is great that you are starting on a Friday. It may sound strange, but I think it reflects your motivation because it isn't Monday or the start of the month. I know I got into those cycles for a long time of starting on Monday and being finished by Wednesday. Go for…
  • Yep, that's how I do mine.
  • I have had this particular pair for about 9 months. But, I have been wearing them for years, so I may need to be fitted again. Good call. This pulling happens when I do spinning too. I think the suggestion of going to the doctor is good, because it could be any number of things mentioned, but I had never considered plantar…
  • Yeah, I think once I get to my goal weight, if it is still there, I am going to try laser.
  • I do worry a little about that, sure. I think it is a normal worry. The important thing is to be healthy and then adjust accordingly. So if you like to be at the top end of the BMI because you like the softness, I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with that.
  • I actually didn't gain any weight when I went on my cruise because the salad bar was awesome and I walked sooooo much on the ship and off when we stopped. I didn't really splurge except at dinner and on drinks. It was kind of amazing, really.

  • My name is Jamie, but my nickname has always been Jaims, I spell it that way so it isn't the traditional "boy" way of James. 22 was my Dad's football number in college and 4 is my favorite number for reasons unknown.
  • Welcome Kristina! Congratulations on starting your journey. :)
  • This is my experience too, though it is so individualized. I never had any symptoms before kids. The only honest thing you can do with PCOS is manage the symptoms.
  • Yay! I need something like this. Cool.
  • 22.9, that is my ultimate goal, but of course I will have to assess once I get close.
  • From what I understand, Stevia is the best sugar replacement. I try to steer clear of all of the other ones. I don't use Stevia much, but sometimes in my coffee.
  • I was just on vacation too! Great job! I didn't do nearly as well, but a lot better than I would have in the past.
