Mistakes prove that you're trying! You're stronger than you think!

I weigh once a week, in the morning before I have anything to eat or drink. I think if I weighed every day it would drive me crazy. That may be something I'll do when I'm close to my goal weight, but I have a long way to go til then.

I had to stop buying it because I had no self-control. I went 5-months with no chocolate while I slowly changed how I ate and gained a moderate amount of self-control. This past Monday I bough some, and I'm limiting myself to 2 squares a day, which is about 57 calories. 4 days in and it's going great. It might not work for…

A berry and oat smoothie. 6oz frozen mixed berries( I use the ones from Sam's), 20g of oats (I use quaker rolled oats), 20g of yogurt (I use Fage 2% plain greek), 7g of coconut oil (I use raw, unrefined, cold pressed, organic), an a cold 16oz bottle of water. I put it in my 24oz nutri ninja cup and blend. the cup is full…

So? I'm new to MFP and posting to the forums.

I agree with this. Someone could have 5,000 posts that are all trolling or nonsense. Another person could have 200 posts that are supportive and informative.

Chocolate for sure, Cadbury Dairy Milk was banned from my diet (for about 5 months) because I had no self-control. I recently bought a bar and have been sticking to 2 squares (11g - 57cal) a night and it's been amazingly delicious.

Eat less calories than you burn. Weigh everything and track everything. It takes time and persistence.

Were you losing consistently at the 1350 calories? Your profile says you've lost 59lbs. It seems like you're doing just fine with what you were eating. Cutting down to 800 seems quite excessive. I'd get another opinion or see a dietitian.

Things like this make me nervous, edible vaccines. While it sounds good in theory, there is so much room for error. Pharmaceuticals Medicines and vaccines often are costly to produce and sometimes require special storage conditions not readily available in third world countries. Researchers are working to develop edible…

I'm ambivalent. I understand how they are necessary, but I've also done some pretty scary research. I do feel that all GMO products should be labeled as such, and the fact that the food companies do not want to label foods as GMOs is worrisome. Unfortunately, I think they're only going to become more common. People will…

I will try something a few times a few different ways. I used to hate broccoli, but now I love it. If I decide I don't like something for sure, it won't find it's way into my shopping cart. I'd rather use my calories on foods I enjoy.

I want to lose 130 pounds in addition to the 16 pounds I lost before joining MFP last week. My first weigh in was this morning (I'm going to do weekly weigh ins) and I was down 3.6 pounds. That was very motivating for me.

One of my favorite ways to make chicken in the oven is with a honey-mustard sauce/glaze. I just mix equal parts yellow mustard & stone-ground mustard, and half the amount of honey. Then I either spread it over the chicken or mix diced chicken into it and bake. I normally mix it with brown rice and a veggie, but it's good…

I bought a bunch of fresh fruit, I just like getting the fruit cups in case I run out of fruit and can't get right out to the store. I'd rather have the fruit cup than no fruit. I was just curious about the taste is all.

Have you tried Amazon Prime? They have a great streaming service with more current shows and movies. Plus you get free 2-day shipping. You do have to pay for the whole year at once, but it works out a little cheaper than what you'd pay for Netflix for the year. I'd get rid of my cable, but I'm bundled with phone and…

I feel like I splurged today, I made a cheeseburger and even had a couple squares of chocolate, while still ending my day under by over 100 calories. I do know what you're saying though. You just have to decide what you're comfortable with. One day with an extra 500-800 calories won't set you back too far, if at all.…

I love my nutri ninja. I can make my breakfast smoothie with oats and it's completely smooth. I'd be really sad if it ever broke.

I ate 3/4 of my calories today at one meal. I ate until I literally felt ill and had to lay down. Didn't go over my goal for the day though.

I love coffee. I used to go for cream and sugar, but now I prefer it black. If I'm going to drink coffee, I want to taste the coffee, haha. I do love the white chocolate mocha with less syrup and a double shot from starbucks though. Haven't had that in about a year.

Oooh, feisty :)

I tried getting over my chocolate addiction. I ended up having to remove it from my diet temporarily, along with cakes and cookies and stuff. The only sweet things I eat now are fruits, and chocolate and vanilla animal crackers. I weigh out the animal crackers and get about 16 for 105 calories a day. It helps when I want…

It might depend on what you're eating. Around the times you get hungry allow some calories for a small snack, or add in some foods that will keep you fuller longer. For me, it's all about planning. If I know I have a couple things to snack on throughout the day, then I'm ok when I feel a little hungry. Even just a couple…
