The most recent science has shown that when you eat your calories doesn't matter that much, so yes - eating 1 meal per day is OK. You still need to watch your calories to ensure you are staying within your range. However, I think you should be good to do it. I've done something similar in the past, but it didn't work for…

I currently am on premium. I originally upgraded due to doing IF so I could set daily calorie goals. Besides that, there's not a lot that's amazing with premium. I like not having ads, but besides that and the daily calorie goals (which I may go back to at some point), there's not a lot else I use on premium.

Welcome to MFP and 4:3. I'm actually doing 5:2 and it's good to see another IF person on here! As far as your question about the 5 p to 5p, in theory it should work as long as you get 3 periods in within a 7 day period. Let me know how it goes.
