  • Looking forward to upcoming travel in warmer destinations. And good food. Good, good food. Not looking forward to 3 flights, each with a layover, in one week. Looking forward to a bottle of nice Cabernet. Not looking forward to having to compensate for being a tornado with vigorous cleaning and putting things back this…
  • Oh I'm seeing things that are not there *all the time*. Though I think that makes me a different kind of special. This might've been sleep paralysis.
  • I'm already taking self indulging breaks from work for every hour worked. Vikka are you my sister from another mother?
  • I'm here lurking. Dropping the occasional comment. Such as this one. You're witnessing procrastination in real time.
  • End of work today. Very much looking forward to. Also kinda looking forward to kinda not - squats tonight. Squats always give me a "death by snu snu" reaction. I mean they're great and all but I still die.
  • It's been all NEFFEX & Rob Bailey and The Hustle Standard lately. There's some good Youtube compilations for both. These help me with focus and going all marbles out. But sometimes I get great wind in my sails listening to 60s and 70s classic rock.
  • Ok so I gave it a morning coffee thought and I'd like to submit my application for head of Monitoring and Evaluation, too. So can I have two positions pretty please? I'm good at multitasking. The reason is, there will be projects in this company of ours. Big, grandiose projects. Cunning, cunning plans. Involving fire…
  • Are we talking about kittens or asterisk kittens? Cuz both work. Also can the person "inspiring" all my posts join my department please? That would be so so nice.
  • WAIT. Who brings the kittens and puppies? For this to work optimally I think we need kittens and puppies.
  • Alright, I'm down. I'm a planner IRL - not of events, but what can go wrong. Although there is one thing I have to be upfront with, so that we're clear on that from the beginning and you guys know what you're getting yourself into. There's going to be problems with whoever does the budget. Big problems. I tend to…
  • Neither. It's eating 2donuts, or 2 donuts and a pizza  You decide how you want to tackle the caloric deficit which will determine your weight-loss. As long as it's still a caloric deficit (in this case, for the week). "Cheat windows" are not magic time frames in which calories don't count. You can have 2 donuts and…
  • Sterilization. I grow succulents and cacti for fun (bit of apartment gardening), and the damp, draft-free conditions of seedling sprouting are a perfect medium for mold otherwise.
  • I started out at 155 with a clear 125 goal in mind. I reached that goal, went down to 121, started weight training, went up to 129, looked better than when I was 125, and am now aiming for 132-135 for my first slow bulk. Looking back, hitting a number helped psychologically in the moment, but honestly? There is such a huge…
  • God, no. I start my day with an 8oz. mug of coffee. If I don't have my 1,000 cal dinner and chocolate right before bed, my day feels barren. This is not a bad suggestion. Curling that bottle burns extra calories! Nothing wrong with chicken and turkey, salmon is great, but bacon is love, bacon is life. My to-go vegetables…
  • You know, you might be the town's hottest body, but if you hunch under the pressure of lack of self-worth, that isn't too attractive either. Regardless of weight. Chin up and don't keel over trying to please others before doing right by yourself first. It means a lot more than a catcall on the street.
  • Never tried microwaved eggs... hmm. I use it usually for the lazy coffee when I'm out of the normal one (read - nuke some water and throw instant in it). Also for jacket potatoes. When I was doing the cauliflower pizza crust thing, the microwave was my friend. And polenta comes out real nice in there, too. Not food…
  • Hey, thanks. I started the bulk out of curiosity. It's slow, and I'm up just about 6.5 lbs or something, but it... worked. So far. And time is the most valuable commodity indeed
  • Wrong platform, mate. Instagram is thataway ->
  • I'm fine with that. (- to myself)
  • I'm horrible with resolutions. Thankfully, I have none specific to make. I just want to continue doing what I'm doing - weight training 4x a week, commute walking, eating well and within my macros. Maybe be less stressed. Maybe have more time for myself. And... actually, the New Year is not bad as a date for that, seeing…
  • At the moment, none other. None extra needed really  I used to be quite active on some photography forums years back and a gaming forum years before that, though. Just the right pace and amount of interaction with these.
  • I save half my calories for dinner and my post-dinner snack (usually chocolate). That's a bit over 1,000 calories, of which about 700-750 a protein-rich dinner and the rest whatever the heart desires. Eating a large breakfast doesn't agree with me at all. I used to skip it for years.
  • *eyeroll* are we gonna do this every time? It's not a steal-your-soul spell. I promise.
  • Cin-cin, @iMago! Or how we say it, noroc! (which means luck, or to your luck).
  • I'm no expert, but here are my 2 cents on this. There are 3,500 cals in a lb of fat, and 7-800 cals in a lb of muscle. However, it takes much more to actually *build* a pound of muscle - around 2700-2800 calories would be fairly accurate. Because you're never going to gain JUST muscle, you can very well chalk that up to…
  • I would if I could. I want to live forever.
  • I think you are defined by both, since the body carries an essential influence over the mind (sum of experiences, needs, feelings / hormones, whatever). That being said, I think if you download your mind, essentially „setting it free” from all of the above, that thing would still be.. your person. Changed, but you. But…
  • I don't know much about the procedure in itself, but there is a list of attributes for good candidates and one of them is not being overweight and obese - I deduce from here that they recommend the procedure for people who are in the healthy range and still struggle with some very stubborn „pockets”, not wanting to go away…
