  • It soooo wouldn't be worth it if you couldn't. =_= #pizza4ever #chocolate5ever #YOLO
  • After living off farmer's markets and shady little convenience stores for groceries this past year, my boyfriend finally took me to a legit grocery store over the weekend. I bought a giant box of chocolate cereal, two boxes of cookies, tons of chocolate, cheap fresh milk... and ate them all before Sunday. @_@ It made me…
  • Vancouver represent! West coast best coast :p Still living in South Korea atm but will return home in a month. So so excited!
  • I find that I've changed a lot since living alone for the past year. When I eat with other people, whether at home or out in social settings, I'm much more mindful and savour my food. I even consistently got comments about being the last to finish her food! But since I've started living alone I've been having problems with…
  • I always thought chocolate and banana would taste kind of gross together until I tried a choco banana smoothie yesterday at this new juice place in Gangnam. It was so amazing! The blended frozen banana gives it a creamy icy texture that tastes almost like ice cream but stays cold longer. I'll definitely be returning to get…
  • YES! Haha turn those baked potatoes into French fries and they're gone. *o* On a similar note I ate an entire rice cooker's worth of rice the other day. All it took was some spicy sauce, seaweed flakes, and sesame oil. Just that bit of fat and sodium made plain rice SO DELICIOUS!!
  • I love almost everything high in carbs and fat, particularly fried potatoes/rice, chocolate, chewy cookies, and cream. >:) I give myself maintenance days every few days so I can properly enjoy them!
  • Lol this! Here in South Korea it's required by law to put the caloric values of both the suggested serving size AND the entire contents. It really matters to me because I really have trouble dividing big packages into proper portions. I usually just eat the whole thing. :s
  • Lmao what's with all these flags!! Glad you guys enjoyed it though. Actually had me thinking about a guy I hurt back in high school who inexplicably got suuuuper ripped for a year afterwards. Makes so much sense now... I agree the beer and juice steps should be optional too. :dizzy:
  • Drink less and dance more. :D
  • Lol they must've been a fan of juice. :D
  • My diary is open and I eat junk food all the time! A couple of weekends ago I bought Pepperidge Farm cookies on sale and pretty much ate like 4 bags in two days. Oops... @_@ But I try to be as honest as possible with my logging because it allows me to make sense of weight fluctuations and stalls, and also to look back on…
  • It doesn't have to be! If you feel hungry and miserable very often then it's a good idea to increase your calories and lose weight a little more slowly. It's much safer and more sustainable to gradually reduce your caloric intake rather than pursue a low calorie goal too aggressively and end up wanting to quit.
  • Thanks for sharing! I enjoyed watching it. :)
  • I'm 5'2"! I was around 115-117 lb when I started to lose weight. Now I'm at 106 and slowly working my way towards 100.
  • I'm almost in the exact same position as you right now! It takes a lot of patience for people like us since weightloss has to be done slowly without it becoming dangerous. Strength training is a great idea, as we are nearing a weight range where body recomposition is more suitable for health and aesthetics rather than…
  • Sukiyaki hot pot tonight! I found sliced beef shank on sale and I'm sooo excited haha. :D
  • Add me please! My diary is open.
  • I've struggled with this too! At my current job everyone eats in the cafeteria where the workers always want to dump lots on my tray despite me asking for less. I didn't want to throw anything away so I always ate everything and gained 10 lbs in a matter of months. :( I started forcing myself to eat less and throwing away…
  • Carbs are what fill me up the most. Despite protein being often touted as the most filling macro, I find that I cannot eat a lot without feeling both heavy and wanting more food (namely carbs lol). A small serving of pumpkin soup, brown rice, or even French fries leave me feeling super happy and satisfied. Back when I…
  • That's horrible! I've had the same thing happen when I was buying pants and the saleswoman said to me, "You know you can't return it because you bought the wrong size so..." Ugh so frustrating since there were also no means for me to try them on in store. Also very condescending to imply I'm somehow delusional about my own…
  • Thanks for the responses, guys! I don't really talk to the other staff at school because my Korean is not fluent, and as such, I've never mentioned my weight or brought it to attention. I'm always kind and polite so it is quite frustrating that my boss continually mentions my weight as my main qualifier. The worst of it…
  • The first time I weighed myself during my period while trying to lose weight I FREAKED OUT. I felt so bloated and just overall "fat-feeling" all week too. Haha but it's perfectly normal for your weight to fluctuate from water retention, especially for women. I have to keep reminding myself that. It takes a while to get…
  • I cook meals at home that are nutritious and low calorie (veggie soups, stir fry) in order to make room for snacks. I love cake and I've been eating a decently sized piece every day. I'm still losing weight! I find that simply knowing the caloric values of foods make eating at a deficit much easier. I was out at a cafe…
  • Thanks for the advice! I agree that the TDEE method is more suitable. I will manually set my goal on MFP. I'm fine with losing slower since I don't want to change my eating habits too much!
  • I'm 5'2"! SW 115 CW 108 GW 100-103 I've been working in South Korea for the past year and living alone in a new and strange environment made me put on 10 pounds seemingly overnight. It wouldn't have been a problem for me if it weren't for the fact that I'm living in a country with strict beauty standards and a strong…
  • Thanks for the reply! Hmm maybe I should just monitor my weight and see if I am losing with my current calorie intake, which is about 1400-1500, and adjust accordingly. It is just a little frustrating to see myself in the red all the time haha!
  • I guess I need to restrict a little more if I want to see results haha. Thanks for the input!
