Eat some protein with it. I can't eat oatmeal because it makes me hypoglycemic later.

I have a really crappy metabolism, even with exercise, so if I eat >1800/day, I gain. 1200 is really hard though; that's what most post-op bariatric diets are and is the recommended minimum. I'm trying 1600/day now because I just can't do 1200 unless I sleep all day, we'll see what happens!

I would strongly suggest working with a trainer or experienced friend to learn proper form and technique. These are imperative to avoid injury and get the best benefit from your exercises. Also, most people do not do full body workouts if they are trying to build. You can do abs every day, but most people will at least…
