The biggest problem I see with your calculator is it doesn't take into account lean body mass. I have not tried it vs. this one, https://legionathletics.com/how-many-calories-should-i-eat/ but it might be interesting to see. I am a 195 pound man with about 17% bf and I eat around 1900 a day.

Great story!!

Wow I couldn't do that.. I eat all day long.

Honestly to look good naked!! Inside that I'd like to reduce my body fat to something in the 12-15% range, I'm 17-18 now. My wife and I want to take some sexy pictures together ;)

two rest days over.. Back to the 5 day grind at the gym. Chest day today.

Although I don't cut my carbs out to lose weight, I cut fat more than anything. I don't cut any food and have lost 50 pounds of fat and added 10 pounds of muscle. It's just a process of measuring, weighing and sticking with it.

I eat 200 grams, You can with protein shakes, high protein breakfast (egg whites, etcs.) lots of lean meats, (lean beef, chicken, lean ham, fish), protein bars, we make protein doughnuts, brownies, etc. You can get your protein in.

The other thing to keep in mind is calorie intake and burn doesn't have to just be a daily thing. You can balance yourself over a weeks time be just fine. I keep my calories flat and have them set based on my typical 4-6 hours a week of workout. It fluctuates but if I stay on my 1700-1800 calories I know I will lose over…

I'm 48 been on journey for a couple of years to look good, gain muscle and lose fat. Feel free to add me.

Just think about totally calorie burn you have in a day.. If you are trying to lose weight keep yourself in a deficit. I agree that calorie burn from exercise is typically highly over stated. Be conservative and watch what your weight does over time.

Welcome to MFP and the forums.. One you will get tons of advice both on here and off. Know that there is no magic pill, no magic exercise, and no magic food. There is no evil food either. There isn't a perfect time to eat or bad time to eat. There is at the most basic level calories your body burns every day and the…

Never used WW not even sure what it is.. MFP has been great to work with.
-
It is 90% kitchen, exercise is great to do body recomp or build some muscle, but if your primary goal is to lose weight it's all calorie deficit.
-
It is for me, I want to break down my macros.
-
morning off day from the gym and a low carb day.
-
1. Yes 2. Every day, first thing in the morning. 3. track overall progress, I keep a daily and a 7 day running average to smooth out the ups and downs.
-
90+% of all weight loss is in the kitchen. You have to eat at a deficit and while exercise is good, it is a minor part of the weight loss. Now you can recomp your body, but I'd tell you to lift weights for that.
-
It's all calories in vs burn. How you do that is just semantics.
-
Everyday, naked in the morning after I pee. It will bounce around. Do a 7 day running average to smooth it out and track the trend.
-
Just get back on the horse again. Keep in mind that calories are not really just daily. If you are over on a day you can cut back the next couple to smooth it out. It's OK to enjoy life and eat more than you need to sometimes. This should be life time journey not a sprint.
-
I never liked the term eat back calories . You need to know your total burn to stay in a deficit. I'd not go more than about 20% deficit so you need to know about what your exercise is doing in you addition to your base metabolic rate.
-
I deadlift weekly and have not ever had the problem. Are you hitting with bar or what? Feet a little over shoulder width? I never wear underwear so maybe it's just hanging more free?? Today is back day, I will pay closer attention!
-
Absolutely, I have been on a heavy lifting program and deficit for a year. Down 50 pounds of fat and increased muscle by 10 pounds. Eat a high protein diet and stay in a 20% calorie deficit.
-
700-1000 is pretty low and 1700 shouldn't be that hard to hit. Are you sure you are measuring right? Do you weigh everything? What are you eating? I can't see your diary so it's hard to tell what is going on.
-
The problem is 4 of them is 36 grams of carbs so just not worth it. I want two pounds not 4!
-
I freaking love twizzlers!!!!!!!
-
^^^^ This, no need to say more.
-
haha 8-10 miles isn't a walk to me.. it's a journey
-
I eat a lot of really lean proteins to get my amounts. 96/4 ground beef, chicken, 97% fat free ham, hard boiled egg whites, white fish, protein shakes (whey protein mix). Then I work on fats and carbs alone, but can usually hit my protein mark without going over on the others. I eat around 200 grams of protein a day.

Are you actually weighing your food to count calories? You need to use a food scale to really know how much you are getting.
