All meat unless marked otherwise is based on raw weight. The meat just loses water weight when cooked but your nutritional value is based on the weight raw.

There is no such thing as cleansing.. your doctor is terribly ill informed and I'd probably change.

I do the same thing, I just save my calories for the evening so I can snack and be where I need to be. Sounds like you do the same so why fight it. It makes no difference when you eat.

Weigh everything you eat!

This is great! I usually measure it and come up with some breakout like total weight / servings to come up with my serving weight, but I like your method much better!!

Sounds like you are eating just about exactly what you are burning overall.. You will need to decrease your calorie intake to start losing. If you drop lifting and down change eating habits you will add weight.

Every morning, log every day and track a 7 day running average. It gives me a great look at my trend without the daily ups and downs

I looked a little at your diary and I don't see any sources of good lean protein. Maybe you don't eat meats, but lean beef, chicken, fish, etc. is a huge source of great low fat, high protein that will help you. If you don't eat any meats there is egg whites, legumes, whey protein powder you can mix into things, etc.

TGIF!! It's a shoulder day. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Listen, exercise increases the calories your burn. Do you have to do it in a gym, no. But it is a place designed to facilitate specific kinds of exercise. Don't let this person get under your skin... If it's working for you keep it up. Secondly, yes you can lose weight just with diet alone, but the gym will help you recomp…

So long as I get a good massage I don't care.

You can lose weight on any diet so long as you are in a calorie deficit. I don't personally like the low carb diet, but my sister has lost a lot of weight on it and it helps her stick to her calorie goals.

It makes no difference when you eat your calories.. If you want to save them for later in the day and fast longer give it a shot. I personally like to get some food in the morning. I do save the vast majority until later just because I'm more inclined to snack at night so I save my calories to fit that in.

There is no way to answer your question with the data you have provided. You need to know what your TDEE or total calorie burn is in a given day. There are calculators on this site and many others that will help you get a basic start. Keep yourself in a deficit and you will lose weight over time. I wouldn't go more than a…

Unless you have some kidney issues you are not going to have any issue with high protein diets. I have eaten 1.2 grams per pound while I was doing my major loss and did just fine. I keep my fat around 20% of intake. Right now my split is 40p/40c/20f

Oh I'm also 48 so age is a factor.

So not everyone is created equal but I'm 5'8" 200lbs. I lift weights (heavy) 5 days a week about an hour give or take. I am in a desk job so my activity most days at work is pretty little. My 20% deficit is right at 1900 calories. The other thing from a food perspective is I weigh everything. Don't use portions or handfuls…

Welcome to the club.. just get back on the program and move forward. You know there is nothing wrong with some indulgence here and there. Don't let life pass you by worried about a pound or two here and there.

Carbs are not bad!! If you are maintaining don't worry

I don't know about a cold, but anything with good spicy New Mexico green chilis is ok with me!!

Definitely focus on calories overall. Are you active, do you exercise or lift?
