I always try to make Sunday my shopping and meal prep day for the upcoming work week. This way I have the healthy foods ready to go in my hectic life. Planning food out for the week makes one less thing to worry about with all the stresses brought on by work.

I kind of did the paleo diet and lost about 20 pounds. I don't eat any dairy so I didn't eat any goat cheese or that kind of stuff. I did the omni diet (it's a book I found on Amazon). It's basically paleo - from what I learned.

I'd suggest eating whole foods, no sugar or carbs when you're free eating. Try to eat as clean and healthy as possible and don't use food as a reward! Good luck!

Anyone can add me as well! I've recently lost 18 (in 7 weeks) by reading a book and then doing a green smoothie cleanse and only eating raw veggies, fruits, unsalted nuts and hard boiled eggs. I've found that any sugar that's not natural (like in fruit) makes me gain weight quickly - including carbs! So cutting those out…

I use MFP to track my calories and tell me how many to eat. I'm at 1200/day as well. I want to lose weight so I try not to eat back my exercise calories (even though that article tells me I should). It's personal preference for me though.
