  • I think it's more a matter of taste and preference. I don't like super hot things so milk obviously cools my coffee down a bit. I will only drink black coffee if there's no creamer around. I just prefer a splash of milk.
  • Thankfully I don't have celiacs (my sister does) but I know I have a slight wheat/gluten intolerance. Every time I eat breads and pastas that have wheat and gluten I wake up sick to my stomach! When I (try) to avoid it I am loads better.
  • I recommend the cook book "How can it be gluten free". There's a second book too which I haven't bought yet but the recipes are fairly simple and yummy. They have their own flour mix which I recommend making. Also, just be aware that many things have gluten hidden in them. My sister has celiacs and I believe I have a…
  • Exactly. It works well for you. That might not work well for everyone.
  • There are side effects to everything you take. I have been taking DHEA for a long time now and I don't have a deep voice or facial hair. I suggested that the OP talk to her doctor and see if she needs to supplement as it is not something one should take "just because". As I said my blood test -- which I discussed with my…
  • I take it but only because a recent blood test showed my DHEA to be low. You really should talk to your doctor about it to see if you should be taking it. Note too though that if you are on the pill it will be low and you should NOT supplement with it as it will decrease the potency of your BC.
  • I wish there was a like button for this portion of your post.
  • I honestly don't know what kind of Stevia you all are taking. I've gone to my garden and chewed the leaves and they taste sweet. No bitterness and nothing unpleasant. Maybe it's the way it's processed if you're getting it from the store? The only other taste it has after I've dried and ground it is an earthy flavor which…
  • Ahhh yes. The old "This is what an apple is made of" response. I'm pretty sure people understand what @lalalalalaurie means.
  • Stevia isn't an artificial sweetener. I grow it in my garden, dry it and grind it up for use.
  • Are you taking it with food? Vitamin D is fat soluble therefore you need to take it with food. I was taking 7,000 IU's a day and my numbers were still low so I've increased it to around 10,000
  • If you're not "feeling it" by time you hit rep #11 then you're not using enough weight.
  • It depends on how you feel if you eat too close to when you're going to bed.
  • Assuming that piece of pizza doesn't come from Planet Fitness because, you know, pizza at a gym is the devil. At least that's what I get from reading the PF bashing posts.
  • So you're saying that a gym who serves smoothies on the premise of their being healthy doesn't have to actually show how many calories are in them because the people who drink those are some how smarter than those who eat pizza? They magically know that there's additional calories in the drinks?
  • Some PF's have actual squat racks. The one in Providence RI has at least 3 of them.
