No, but I also don't by my beef from the grocery store. We got a quarter cow last year from a local farm -- grass fed, no antibiotics, no hormones -- and it is hands down the best meat I have ever had. It beats anything from the store -- including those meats that are purported to be "grass fed". It even smelled different.…

High cholesterol can be hereditary. And as I said previously a high total cholesterol number isn't necessarily bad. My total cholesterol is on the high side but my LDL's, HDL's, and Tri's are in the correct range.

So there's this thing called "moderation." Perhaps you've heard of it?
-
Ohhhh. So because you said we have to be a vegan/vegetarian we all now must jump on the bandwagon? Sorry but I'd rather eat steak, bacon, ribs and burgers and still live life to the fullest. Oh and FYI: you can get high cholesterol on your vegan/vegetarian diet. It has nothing to do with eating meat. A lot of people with…

Herbal supplements are not dangerous.

I think it's ridiculous to be honest. If they're going to grant that to vegetarians then grant it to anyone who chooses to eat a certain diet regardless of whether or not it's a 'religious' belief. Seriously, when will the new laws "protecting" people end? I think they should pass a law that "protects" those people who are…

Nothing yet because I haven't received my report.

The test isn't just analyzing metabolic rate, how you process certain foods etc. It's measuring your telomeres.

My doctor mentioned how people will obsess about something that *might* happen some day down the road. I think knowing about something and figuring out how to prevent it is better than NOT knowing and being blindsided later on.

One of my husbands employees got me this as a gag for Christmas. I haven't used it yet. YET.

I am actually waiting for my results. I didn't go through 23andme and actually my doctor told us the reasons why they were shut down by the FDA (I forget though). It will definitely be interesting when I get my results.

I hate the cold so . . . 45F and below for me.

What's wrong with the term "chick"? I understood what she was talking about.
-
I guess my point was that "free range" doesn't mean the chicken is running around a barn yard like non-commercial chickens would be.

Honestly, the fact that she got off her treadmill and stood directly behind you while taking the selfie, THEN skittered off when you confronted her makes me think she was purposely trying to get you in the photo. If you see her doing that again -- to you or someone else -- I would report it to management.

That's not going to stop an outbreak of e.coli. E.coli is found in human and animal feces. If your organic food was grown in cow manure and not properly washed you can get e.coli. If your antibiotic ridden beef was slaughtered in unsanitary conditions you can get e.coli. I personally prefer not to have meat that's pumped…

You do know that the definition of "range free" when it comes to store eggs is the fact that they're allowed a little patch of grass out in the sun to walk around on a few times a day. They are by no means running around a farm yard.
-
Sorry but I have to disagree with you on this one. It's not as though you're outside shoveling every day. Depending on the storm and how much snow I get I can conceivably be outside shoveling for close to or even over two hours at a time.

I think it's ridiculous to think that a woman in her workout gear is being "objectified" and "sexualized". People will find anything to be offended by. For me seeing a fit woman in a sports bra and shorts working out is motivating. It makes me push harder because that's what I'm trying to achieve. But then again I am not…

So because a company makes regular flour and baking items means they can't make gluten free items as well? And as far as the GF labeling on things: that doesn't necessarily mean all the ingredients listed in the item are gluten free. I have seen things labeled as GF and they have carmel coloring as one of the ingredients…

I did a google search and the first thing that popped up was "charlie sheen's green shake" with the ingredients so . . . it's out there.

When I can get to the farm I get raw milk. If I get there at the right time the milk I am getting is fresh -- as in being milked RIGHT NOW! (I use it to drink and make yogurt). If I don't get to the farm I buy almond milk because I just don't trust the whole milk at the store won't have antibiotics and all that garbage in…

I have actually made a pretty tasty cauliflower pilaf.

I think it depends on your definition of "junk". I don't consider what I put in bold to be junk. I consider things like potato chips, candy, sweets, cakes, cookies etc. to be junk to me. Someone else might not consider it junk but I personally do. To me "junk" = something that I would just mindlessly shovel into my face…

I'd rather have something is more substantial and will keep me full for longer.
-
I don't really eat junk. Sometimes I'll raid my sister's cabinets and eat her chips but that's once in a great while. Last month I had a cinnamon bun (and paid dearly for it due to the gluten in it) but before that I can't think of the last time I had anything remotely close to that. I just don't feel satisfied when I have…

^^ This. Avocados that aren't very ripe taste vastly different than those that are. I'm not sure how or why a company would put preservatives into a vegetable. If they do I'm pretty sure they would have to put a package on it and disclose it.

Why would quitting dairy improve your weight loss?

Some women don't like to lift. It's just not something they're in to. I have a friend who basically just does cardio and P90X. She doesn't like the gym so she does what she can do -- and LIKES -- at home. As for women who don't "lift heavy" . . . who cares what they choose to do? Sure there are some women out there who…
