  • Yes, I have done so. She either ignores me or says how my meals are unhealthy anyway so it's easy for me. I have clothes that are fitted, but I don't feel comfortable wearing them just yet.
  • I'm not fishing or compliments, but after a year of trying to lose weight, I would have thought others would notice. Also, like I said, my sister always puts me in the same boat as her, always going on about how we can't give up our takeaways and junk food, but other people eat so little and so healthy. I have had two…
  • Perhaps that would help. I wear mostly shapeless, baggy clothes. But I'm waiting for when I'm closer to my goal weight, that's when I want to wear fitted clothes.
  • I know I really shouldn't care about what others have to say and do it for myself. I did, for 10 months didn't say anything, but weight loss is a hot topic in my family. There's always some new pill or tea or diet that other people have tried and it's worked wonders for them. My brother lost 4 lbs in a week and apparently,…
  • I had two in 2016. I personally don't eat many as it's difficult to even guess how many calories are in them.

  • Hi, I'm not sure if this will help, but I suffered from binge eating for many years. Since I was 11 years old I had been dieting and then binge eating and I had never been able to stop the cycle of restricting and then binging. I would diet for 3-4 months (often eating <500), then binge and regain the weight lost (plus…
  • Well done on the loss :) I have the opposite problem: I've lost 35 lbs over the last year and although I can tell, nobody else has really noticed  Although today my sister said she can tell I've lost weight - that was only after I told her I'd lost 35 lbs. I still wear baggy clothes as I still have a way to go yet…
  • I'd love some friends on here. I've been here a year now but didn't get involved much with the community. Anyone is free to add me x
  • I used to live for cheat days, but then I ended up putting so much emphasis on this one day, that once it was over I felt depressed and would end up binge eating for weeks after and re-gaining all the weight back with extras. I now just try to fit in what I want within my 1300 calorie limit. I have had two cheat days since…
  • Exercising is an option - when have I said otherwise? In fact I'm joining the gym this week. I only wanted to know why I was losing weight so slowly, (especially when I see posts about people trying to lose 10 lbs by Christmas!) but it seems I'm not, others have gone through something similar once they've lost some weight.…
  • Reading this is making me think I'm just being too impatient! Some weight loss is better than no weight loss - but I do think I ought to do some exercise. I work in a office where I spend almost the whole time sitting down. I travel about 3-4 hours a day, to and back from work, and again spend all that time sitting. So I…
  • I have a large family and not much privacy to exercise at home. It's far too cold to go for a walk right now, so really my only option would be to join a gym. I don't want to eat less than I am as then it would begin to feel too much like a diet and I'd probably end up binge eating and gaining the weight I've lost back.
  • [ I'm 30. I understand weight loss will slow down. My point is that at this rate I'll still be trying to lose weight for a couple of years. I would love to reach my goal weight by next summer - that's a year and a half of trying to lose weight. It's not like I'm expecting my weight to come off in a few weeks. I guess I…
  • I'm aiming for 105 lbs or so. I've been that weight before and for me, that was a good weight. Not too slim, but not fat either. It may seem less, but for my height I looked fine.
  • I feel I'm very meticulous wth logging everything. Yes, I don't weigh things that are in wrappers, but if that will help, I'll start doing that too. Although, to me it just feels a little ridiculous. Why do they put the calories on the wrappers if they're incorrect? Also, some products need to be cooked in the packaging,…
  • Really? I have done before, they are actually not too far off I found. Also, some days I eat under 1300 calories so I'm sure it averages out.
  • I'm still very far from my goal unfortunately. Current stats are 5'2 inches and 134 lbs.
  • I weigh out pretty much everything with a digital scale, including things like spices. The only things that don't get weighed out are packaged items with calorie content on the wrapper.
  • I understand that I'll lose weight slowly if I've less to lose. However, I'm losing about 1 lb per month. I've lost 30 lbs, I would like to lose another 30 and at this rate I'll be here for years!
  • I'm currently eating around 1300 calories a day. I'm losing about a lb every 3-4 weeks.
  • I've lost around 20 lbs since January through counting calories alone, however, the weight loss is extremely slow. I'll be joining the gym in a month or two, once I have a bit more time. That way I'll get to eat more than the 1200 calories I'm having now and get fitter in the process.
  • 30 lbs to lose, anyone with similar goals, add me
  • Courgette brownie and yogurt :)
  • I used to do it and although I found it helpful, I hated the day I had to cook so much! I did it for around a year. I would spend a good three hours cooking, then have a kitchen full of dishes to wash and had to weigh everything equally into boxes. Even after all that I wasn't finished, as then I had to add the ingredients…
  • Sounds good, I'm in.
  • I lost over 30 lbs, then gained almost all of it back in just a few months. But I've been trying to lose weight for about a month now and am very determined to finally get thin.
