I don't have a good answer other than you'll probably gain less weight on your period than you would if you ended up missing it. Amirite ladies???

Everything in between dinners is both before and after dinner at the same time. Sooooo yeah. That.

Rub it in everyone's faces? That'll teach'em!

We had a wellness thing at work a couple days ago and the presenter said the same area of the brain that regulates sleep is responsible for regulating hunger. The insinuation was basically that sometimes when you think you're hungry you're actually probably just tired.

Take the night off and just go get Chinese food?

Momma cooked a breakfast with no hog... Also glad at least one person got it so I don't feel THAT old. Yeesh!

Anything that doesn't meet Ice Cube's criteria for a good day is what I consider a bad day.

Avocado is a fruit and I think there's more fat in those than sugar. Could be wrong. Too lazy to check.

Well, there are 3 grams of protein in my cheese crackers so there's that. Or so the label states proudly now that protein is a "thing."

If you meet someone wat a bar/party/drinking event there's a good chance you just met someone who, duh, likes to go to bars/parties/drinking events (not saying that's bad, just stating the obvious). If you replace those with some other activity you'll still meet people, just ones that like that activity, whatever it is. To…

A good rule of thumb when dealing with almost ANYTHING people say is to chalk it up to small talk. Most, but not all, people have a need to fill silence and an instinct to actively think of things to engage others about. Whether it's "hey, hot outside isn't it?" or "hey, have you lost weight?" Either way, don't over…

As long as what you are doing is working whatever you don't weigh doesn't matter (whether it's lettuce or M&Ms or fish oil capsules). When whatever you are doing stops working then start weighing all the stuff you don't weigh.

It's good with cereal I hear.

I'm nervous around cucumbers and zucchinis...

Every single aspect of our culture. I mean, even the fast food ads have skinny people in them.

Make up silly names for him while I'm waiting in line. Shirty McLongstrings the Third Esq. EDIT: that was for Shirty McLongstrings the Third Esq, not Smiley McGlasses.

Are avocados going to be one of the foods taxed? They have tons of fat and sometimes more calories than a candy bar.

Weight is mass x the acceleration of gravity. It's a measurement of force. Lead does weigh the same as feathers if the mass is the same. That is, if the amount of matter for both the lead and feathers is equal (I'm assuming of course we're staying on Earth so we'll stick with it's gravity value). Obviously, to achieve this…

Technically speaking the opposite of this is true. If you stopped eating eventually you would in fact die. You'll die one day anyway even if you keep eating. Just later. Unless something non-food related kills you sooner of course. Tons of variables here.

Ohhh just saw this one. Since you're making predictions with solid numbers I'm 217lbs. How long until my stomach is semi flat? 5'11" is my height. I'll take answers from anyone on this. Body fat is probably 23ish % if I work from my last BodPod figure and subtract my losses since then. Could be more but let's be optimistic…

Thanks for at least acknowledging it could take years. You almost never see this answer given.

I just like to introduce a little reality check every now and then. It's not all "eat at a small deficit and lift weights." There are a lot of people like me in this weird in between. You can't eat enough to gain appreciable strength to justify your lifting but you also can't eat more or else you'll either gain or lose no…

I weigh everything except the Pad ma parn him (I think that's the name of it) I get every Thursday when I get my one meal out a week. I weigh the rice that comes with it usually but it's always about the same and since I don't know the value for the other thing I figure what's the difference? 1800 calories most days.…

It's not about wanting to stop working out. It's about wanting the work outs to actually amount to something. Some sort of tangible result. If I don't lose fat working out and I'm not gaining strength working out what am I actually working out for? I guess that's what ab people don't really get or understand. They do…

I think I see my issue. I'm dealing with a bunch of people who aren't having the same experience as me. My starting weight was 365. I'm 217 now. I've dieted for the better part of 4-5 years already. The scale barely moves anymore. And since I have to eat an insanely low calorie amount to make it move I gain zero strength…

Annoying and slightly less annoying are the only ones I'm aware of. I kid, I kid. In all seriousness you do see some people try to say they're "part time vegans" or "mostly vegan." So in other words, not vegan?

Time will pass but it can be brutal starving yourself for yearrrrrrrrs at a time. If people are going to throw out advice they at least need to be honest about how difficult it really is. Not the sugar coated "slight deficit, be patient." Give the real answer. Say "listen, it's going to take you 2 years to lose 5lbs at…

I don't have an answer but I wish men would invent a few new ways to spin their size like women have because "big man" just isn't cutting it as a pseudo compliment. "Big and tall" is about as nice as it gets but let's be honest, it's usually "big or tall" and everyone knows it. Ammmmmmirite?

I've lost close to 140lbs. I've been dieting the better part of 5+ years. For me, no. It has never gone away during periods where I restrict calories. At the moment I have to eat about 1800 calories a day to make even the slightest bit of progress. I feel basically like I'm starving at all times. During periods where I…
