At least it's not ham. Ugh. So much ham.

This is the part for me that makes me not be able to imagine a life in maintenance. For me, maintenance means your "work" is done. As in I can stop over analyzing every single piece of food I come in contact with. It's just depressing to imagine living this way my entire life. I already can't even lick a spoon while…

I'll give the canned feel good responses I've always gotten when I complain about how difficult it's become to lose weight. They're super infuriating. Enjoy. "Maybe you need to change your priorities and focus on a non-weight goal. Weight is just a number. Maybe you're losing inches even though you're staying the same…

Huh? How could you know that. What if she's 150lbs overweight? That's different than if she's trying to lose 5lbs. There's not just one answer.

LOL I own and use a food scale too. Many people do. What does this have to do with not knowing what's in something? Did they use 1 stick of butter or 10? 1 cup of sugar or 5?

I get the spirit of this but how do you make them fit if you don't know what's in them? You can guess, which might work fine for you and whatever your current goals are but it is conceivable that someone else might not be able to do that. This is especially true for those struggling to get results who ask for help and are…

The only thing that's worked for me considering I haven't had much success at all recently is realizing that time will pass no matter what so it's probably better to do something even if I end up falling short.

I'll just leave this right here: In 1945, a 19-year-old Norma Jeane signed up with modeling agency Blue Book. The receptionist wrote down her measurements as 36-24-34, which at 5’5” and 118 pounds would be considered, by today’s BMI standards, a completely healthy, average size. But even then, the head of the company…

Doh! Typo LOL. I'll stand by the statement though anyways.

In before someone say it's muscle and before someone else reminds them it's not in a snarky way.
-
Meh. I'm torn. I really probably isn't muscle but the people always remind people of that in the douchiest way. I usually just sounds like "it's probably not muscle and you're probably a loser and I'm the only one who can build muscle." It happens though I guess.

I'll concede that all plateaus are explainable in the sense that "you're eating too much" fits into the whole physics side of things. At some point though it's like, "wow, so 1800 is really too much for me?" I will say changing your body composition is definitely a thing even if the results might not look as drastic as a…

All the time. From 500 feet away just like the court order says!!!

My wife used to say she was addicted to sugar. "Keep those cookies away from me. I can't stop once I have one. No chocolate for me" she'd say. Finally I had enough one day and decided to show her some tough love. I took her to a bad part of town and found a crackhouse. I pointed out one of the junkies leaving the house. I…

If by crushed you mean built a shrine to with pictures, dolls, and candles in my basement then...maybe.

Whatever sounds the most boring and unappealing, order that. I kid. Sorta. If you're choosing between grilled salmon with seasonal veggies and the deep fried bacon wrapped pork chop smothered in a butter cheese honey sauce...

5'11 230ish lbs. Pants: 38 usually (Levi's 501 or 513). 36 if the pant is more casual/loose/baggy etc. Probably 40 for a suit pant. Shirts: L of the the designer was a little generous (button up shirts seem to be). XL if not (t-shirts and polos for some reason, fabric maybe?)

200 was my original goal. 199 technically just so I can say I'm under 200 for the first time in 20 years or so. It's still my long term "well hopefully this will happen" but I'm a realist and I've been doing this a long time already. After 5 years, the last two of which I've struggled with a almost unexplainable ability to…

I started at 365 and I'm 230 now. I still struggle with what you're talking about. For me the health side of the equation has seen night and day improvements so I take that as a positive. Looks/feeling wise it's hit or miss in my mind. Do I look/feel better? Sure. I have more energy and I'm far more active. I obviously…

Sooooooo what's the science going on here? (Everyone loves talking about science here so...) That is, one goes on a diet. It's going fine. Calories get cut. One pound (or whatever) comes off a week. Fine. Then weight loss stops (or slows to a silly fraction). No pounds or even ounces a week but the person gets measurably…

That's between me and my chickens!

I dunno if Plan B causes weight gain but not taking it might. So there's that.

It's no Vitamin A but it's OK I guess.
