You have to be selfish with your goals sometimes. Weight loss is one of those times. Only you can start, endure and complete your journey. Even if a loved one sets out with you... there is a very strong chance you will end up doing it on your own anyhow. Be selfish. Do this for you and only you. Protect your exercise time…

143 miles = 230.136 kilometres That's since Aug 21St when I started using Runkeeper.

I will join late! Cycling so should complete it. Cycling on a mountain bike, so a bit harder than a road bike.

Despite the plateau in weight my belly is shrinking and my suit trousers are less tight. It's fun to see the difference. Happily I am not too hung up on weight. I do like data though. And smaller trousers ;) I shall post back here in a couple of weeks with an updated graph.

Don't sweat it. It's long term trends you should monitor, not trends over a week or two.

I am consistently under my goal based on 2lbs a week loss. However I am training a lot. I dropped a ton initially... Now it is levelling, even a mini plateau.

I weigh 2-5 lbs more each evening in comparison to the mornings. This fluctuation is consistent for me. Have started paying more attention to how clothes fit than the scale.

Added a few from the thread. West Midlands here. Lost 3 stone last year. Put 2 back on.... Now lost another. Need to lose another stone. Am training harder this time with a view to keeping it off! #stayoutofgreggs

Salt on a stick of celery = food heaven

Love coffee. 6-10 cups a day via nespresso machine. Not overly fussed on bread with it.

Are you cutting caffeine or nicotine? Either will give bad dreams and often flu like symptoms.

I find it cheaper to diet. Walking is free. Buy a scale from Amazon. They are cheap. weigh and log EVERYTHING. Stick to it. Find support here. You are not alone! :)

Congratulations

I added you. Had 30 to lose here. About half way done but it's tough!

I would view it as a years effort. Sure you can drop the weight a bit faster. However if you want it to be a permanent fix.... You need to view this as the start of a lifestyle change and not a diet.
