Insulin makes you fat - it’s not simply calories in versus calories out.

I think Dr. Fung's points make a ton of sense. Calorie counting isn't the answer for long term success. Also, I think intermittent fasting to "reset" works for a lot of people. It sounds daunting, but it really isn't.

My plan is once I hit my goal, to get a body fat % test done and see what it looks like. From there I'll assess the mirror test and the %'s and see if I should drop more or not.

That's my strategy. I'm 6'1, 216, and working to get down to 205. Once I get there I'll focus on strength goals. I know fat loss and muscle gain aren't either/or goals, but I've found it to be much easier to focus on one at a time. Good luck

Thinking of buying the AW today actually. How is it for syncing with MFP? Also, how good is it for a recreational runner?

Great work! Question though, do you use the exercise calorie compensation calculation or do you disable that feature? I'm sorta on the fence because I'm skeptical that the app can approximately estimate how many calories I burn for a given type of activity.

It sounds like you're overthinking things. If you're working out hard, it makes sense to rest from moderate to intense exercise a day or two per week - just eat right. Your body needs real rest!

I'm all for doing it the old fashion way (healthy eating and exercise), but sometimes a little discreet liposuction is ok. Clearly people do it.

Join the YMCA - start going to some of the fitness classes there! There's a lot of friendship and camaraderie there.

Great work!
