Here's a few pics from the last couple weeks: Burgers and Parsnip Chips Beef rump roast cooked on a campfire. One of my favorite meals. Italian Porkchops Fried eggs and ham Berries and Heavy Cream. One of my favorite treats. What's left of most of the meat that I cook:

Anyone can add me as a friend. I've been LCHF/Keto for exactly one year as of today and am happy to help anyone out that I can.

Ended up getting the Trader Joes parsnip chips. Oh my. They are dangerous. Soooo good. I also picked up their broccoli. Not nearly as good, but still a shade better than pork rinds.

I think I've added everyone. If I missed you, feel free to follow me and I'll follow back.

Thanks @KnitorMiss! And yes, I do feel awesome... most of the time. I need to do more comparison pictures like this to remind me that even though it is going slow, I am still miles from where I was.

HI Ryan - I used a holder for beer can chicken, but didn't have any beer or a can. I just plopped it on, put a mayo rub on the chicken and cooked it low and slow. It is actually done in a gas grill, not a smoker or charcoal, but it was still excellent!

Here's a simple dinner tonight. Just a couple fried eggs on top of some cheese, topped with 4 kinds of deli meat, some cheese and mayo. Very good!

A friend tried Atkins back in 2008. It worked for her and I then jumped into reading about it. The older Atkins books are good (especially the 72 version) and then I started reading whatever I could find. The movie Fathead also helped with info. I'm now convinced of the right way to eat and I know it has helped me.

Progress pics. 55 pounds down. I couldn't even wear this shirt last year. Now it's huge on my.

Thanks for all the great suggestions. Will have to check some of them out. I do have pork rinds on occasion, but tend to eat the whole bag in one sitting. Never tried parsnip chips and would like to find some. Thanks everyone!!

I've been on track for just over 11 months. I've lost almost 55 pounds. I started losing about 1.5 pounds a week, but have now slowed down to under 1 pound a week. My average is still over 1 pound a week, but not by much.

Awesome job @becwana!!

Anyone can add me as a friend. I'm closing in on a year being consistent on plan. Happy to help any way that I can.

Ok, it's been too long since I have posted here. Breakfast this morning: Lunch yesterday at a place called Twisted Bistro. Big Daddy Patty (10 oz) with cheese, mushrooms, and bacon: Hot Wings from Wingstop: Grilling out at a friends:

Welcome to the forum! I've been steady on LC for about a year. Going through a slow patch right now, but sticking to it. A few recommendations I have: 1. Read - I noticed that you mentioned that you aren't following any certain plan. That's OK, but I would recommend reading the books for different plans to help you…
-
After eating this way for about a year, I find that I can eat LC pretty much anywhere. Italian restaurants and maybe Chinese are the hardest, but just about everywhere else you can get some sort of meat and veggie. If nothing else, get a loaded burger and take off the bun and eat with a fork. A burger patty with lettuce,…

Anyone can feel free to add me. Been keto/LCHF off and on for a long time. This time I'm sticking with it. Going strong since July of last year and over 50 pounds down.

Anyone can add me if they wish. I've been off and on with Keto/LCHF for about 8 years. Things go well, then I fall back to my old ways. Been going strong since July of last year and am down just over 50 pounds. Happy help encourage anyone who wants more friends.

I tend to agree @KnitOrMiss . Not much looks better than grilled meat. I do love my heavy cream though. I've thought about going on a liquid diet using just heavy cream, but figure I probably shouldn't. I can drink a full 8 oz glass of it with no problem at all.

Way to go! Also, just one other point, I wonder if a lot of your snacks were packaged foods. I find that too many packaged foods, even when on plan, cause me to slow down or stall in weight loss. As I cut out snacking, my losses got better.
