  • Seems pretty quiet, but thought I’s say hi. I’m originally from Juneau, AK but live in Southern Oregon now.
  • Super excited to find a running group on MFP! I’m in for 100 miles this month.
  • Think of you both and wishing you tools to get through this time. Mental health can be such a struggle and I think you’re doing a great job of supporting your family and yourself.
  • Stretching is good. I also will concentrate on anti-inflammatories after a big work out - blueberries, usually. Also, when I run more than 15 miles, I will usually take an ibuprofen right afterwards and an ice bath.
  • HW: 265 lbs Restart Keto Weight: 175 lbs CW: 153 lbs September GW: 148 lbs GW: 130 lbs 9/1 - 154.60 9/8 - 152.89 9/15 - 152.13 My weight bounced around a lot last week, so the overall average was not much loss. Going for a run this morning before work and trying to get back on track!
  • HW: 265 lbs Restart Keto Weight: 175 lbs CW: 153 lbs September GW: 148 lbs GW: 130 lbs 9/11 - Late dinner due to an evening commitment and went OVER on carbs. 37g! But biked to work and lifted weights. 9/12 - 16g of carbs + a run. Lower back was really sore :( (151.9 lbs) 9/13 - Involuntary rest day due to sore back! Still…
  • I’m kind of always like that... :)
  • Daily check in, and frustrated! Trying to figure out why I gained for two days and how to fix it. 9/8 - 16g net carbs, but skipped my long run because I didn't feel well. Gained a pound the next day. 9/9 - 3+ mile run and lifted weights (abs and arms). But I gained weight for the second day in a row despite only 13g of…
  • This. So much this. I lost 100+ pounds almost 10 years ago, so it feels weird for me to struggle with the 10-20 pound range. But not taking those pounds seriously is how I gained back 35 pounds over the years. But it helps to be in a group that also takes these goals seriously.
  • I've been thinking about trying these for awhile! Nachos are a go to comfort food for me, and I've been using chicharrones, which are also a great keto substitute.
  • HW: 265 lbs Restart Keto Weight: 175 lbs CW: 153 lbs September GW: 148 lbs GW: 130 lbs Made weight loss progress this week, after stalling out last month due to too many carbs! I think I might actually make it under 150 lbs this month!! 9/1 - 154.60 9/8 - 152.89 9/15 - ???
  • Have so much fun!! Congrats on making your goal!!
  • Goal #1: Run 3x a week. Goal #2: 3 core and upper body workouts a week. Goal #3: Keep net carbs under 20g/day. 9/1 - 13 g of carbs. 9/2 - Got off the couch and lifted weights while watching TV with the family, because I had set a goal of weight lifting 3x a week! I probably wouldn't have done it without this group! 13 g of…
  • Welcome! A half is a great place to start! Do you have one picked out as a first half?
  • Welcome back! I’ve been doing low carb for years, but got really lazy about it. Getting back to strict low carb has helped me to get rid of 20 pounds and I’ve got 20 pounds left!

  • September SW: 153 September GW: 148 Goal #1: Run 3x a week. Goal #2: 3 core and upper body workouts a week. Goal #3: Keep net carbs under 20g/day. It took my a day or two to decide on this month’s goals. One and two are repeats from last month and really helped me to keep my exercise on track. I added #3 because my weight…
  • I use Vital Proteins collagen powder from my local Costco. It doesn’t have much flavor and I can add it to coffee or water when I’m in a hurry.
  • Welcome! I’ve been eating low carb off and on for nearly ten years and have several go to keto recipes. Taco bowls Ground beef with taco seasoning, cheese, sour cream, and guacamole. Avocados split in half and filled with cheese and bacon or tuna. Or even egg salad. Chiccarone nachos Roasted chicken thighs with blue cheese…
  • Hello keto peeps! I’m looking forward to another great month of accountability! I restarted keto in December and have lost 20 pounds since then (most of it in the two months that I’ve been using MFP). This month, I’m really looking forward to getting into the 140s, which I haven’t seen in years! HW: 265 lbs Restart Keto…

  • Welcome back! I’ve been low carb for years, but got really lazy about it over time. Since I started back on keto a few months ago, I’ve felt much better and started losing some of the weight that I had gained back. Meal prep and snacks are 100 % the way to do it. I prep a lunch, snack and dinner every day and have them…
  • I tried the fettuccine yesterday - I’m not a big fan. The noodles were hard to chew. It might have been my low skill in preparation, but I’ll stick with zucchini and cauliflower rice.
