I measured how much milk and sugar I used then created my own recipe using a unique identifier so it doesn't cause confusion. I use this to log the coffee I have, it may be one or two calories adrift either way but not enough to make a difference.

Day 5 of Sweatember and I have managed exercise every day. I’m so proud of myself as for the first two days my asthma was particularly bad due to a developing cold and it would have been so easy to use it as an understandable excuse.

This September I have pledged to exercise daily in order to raise money for Cancer Research. The small actions I will be taking; Getting up at 6am to make time to exercise before I get ready for work. What help do I need from you; nothing except for a bit of cheering on and cheering up when it feels impossible. What does…

After a 3 month break due to ill-health, I did it :) I'm especially proud as I had to get up an hour early to make time and my nearest and dearest will tell you I am NOT a morning person.

I'm back after 10 days incommunicado The good news is I've averaged 15,000 steps a day whilst I was offline. The bad news is I was on a cruise with all the associated temptations

So far so good, although it was Bank Holiday weekend here in England so that made it easier to reach my target as I haven't been tied to my desk. First day back today though and so far I have managed my target of responding to my Fitbit reminder and walking at least 250 steps per hour.

I've signed up for the Bronze level. I've only committed to make a small change, but will be proud if I can achieve it.

Trigger: when my fitbit vibrates to let me know I haven't managed 250 steps that hour One thing: stop ignoring it while I just finish what I'm doing and get up and walk until I've done the 250. Reward/Affirmation: Well done you!

Without going into too much detail I would encourage everyone to embrace this challenge. I used to be a tremendous hoarder until 6 years ago when I ended up living in a rented room following the breakdown of my marriage and the loss of my family home. I came to realise how all the things I had been hanging on to had done…

Thanks for this Denise. I have been thinking hard about my habits and realised that it's not the eating habits, but another habit that's derailing me. My partner and I have fallen into the habit of getting home from a hard day at work and, without even thinking about it, opening a bottle of wine. Once it's opened then…

Veg soup for lunch and Aubergine bake with a salad made from lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, mushrooms and sweet peppers for dinner on Tuesday. Leftover salad for lunch yesterday and Grilled pork chops with spring greens, carrots and cauliflower for dinner last night, Cauliflower Pilaf for dinner tonight. And an apple every…

Yay I'm in! The recommended portion size here in the UK is 80g but despite loving my veggies, I do struggle to get 5 portions of 80g in per day. I'm not a fruit lover at all, so it's time to get creative with salads and evening meals to ensure I get my quota

Bit of an update on this challenge. Today (18th November) I had a Diet Coke for the first time since embarking on the Water Challenge. Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi used to be my go-to drinks after coffee. It tasted vile and very strongly of chemicals, I can’t believe I used to enjoy the taste. Anybody want a dozen cans of Diet…

This challenge has helped me focus on increasing my water intake. I've adapted to reaching for the water bottle instead of coffee surprisingly easily and the extra trips to the loo are helping me to increase my Fitbit steps as well :). The fruit infuser has been great, but I've only tried frozen fruits so far. I've bought…

Perfect timing for me, normally my fluids come from coffee, diet coke and wine! But last week I bought a fruit infuser water bottle to encourage myself to drink more water. It holds 1litre (32oz) and my target is to a) remember to bring it into work every day and b) drink at least one bottle by home time every day
