So quick update, after only one week of faithfully tracking my calories and reducing my sugar intake, the extra weight is gone. So, my body definitely held on to the extra fluids as a result of my poor diet. I don't think I was going over my calorie goals, I think the food choices I was making contributed to the quick gain…

They might work for some people, but I tried Plexus and it did nothing at all. Luckily it was just a sample pack because that stuff is expensive! Speaking of that though, I am soooooo tired of people selling that stuff on Facebook!

Me too! I am 211.7 as of yesterday morning, so 20 pounds would be great. Here is to 191!

I am 212, 5'7 and 35 years old. I started jogging when I weighed 270, but that was years before I joined MFP. My lowest weight has been about 190, although my goal is 180. I have used phentermine in the past (after I lost the initial weight), and although I recommend it to people who use it correctly, it's just not for me…

Yup, I had it when I was younger too. For something not serious, it sure feels like you are about to DIE!!! My doctor always recommended ibuprofen for the inflammation of the muscle, so it worked for me. Oddly enough, I don't remember having a flare up for many years now, especially since starting to actively lift weights…

I would recommend active recovery...something light like walking. It might help you feelbetter, although doesn't feel like it at first.
-
I agree, not a smart move. In cases like this, it's better to just drive on. This is what leads to road rage.
-
Haha y'all haven't heard anything until you have taught PE in the schools. I couldn't believe the excuses I got from parents.
-
You would be surprised of how many people love to give advice on something they have never used.
-
I'm not judging her at all for the surgery....at all. I do get upset when she makes comments about people not losing weight fast enough, when she used the weight loss surgery to help. You can't expect the same results if you are losing weight on your own, at 1 pound a week. It is comparing apples to oranges.

This is all really good information!
-
This doctor was pretty much my 4th opinion.

Hmmm, thank you all for great advice! One of the other things we are considering is we want to have another baby, so if my knee pain continues to get worse, having two under the age of three might be a nightmare. We could hold off one more year, so I could get my knee fixed, and I think things would be much better…

A healthy dinner, with a good ole unhealthy dessert, and then maybe a walk or planned workout together for the next day.
-
Yup, I blew a 265 day streak once...I was not happy.
-
Oh yeah, I see what you are saying for sure. I lost almost 100 pounds about 7-8 years ago, and I've kept it off, except for 15-20 pounds hat have fluctuated all of those years. I lost it by tracking calories and jogging, and it wasn't easy. Maybe I take it a bit personally because it took me a lot of hard work, and I even…

I think what bothers me about my friend who had weight loss surgery, is she loves to compre herself to other people, and she gets pretty judgemental. I heard her making a comment that there is no excuse for not losing weight, and that everyone can lose 2 pounds a week if they try. Well, that's easier said than done when…

I had good experience in the past with not gaining it back. I know you have read my other post, but gained 8 pounds in about 8 days, when coming off this time. A few pounds was water, so I am up 5 pounds now. It is finally steadied off, but it was scary. I'm realistic in that I know I was eating more, but I was logging,…

I had another round of knee injections a week ago, and they used to work wonders, but now, not so much. I am in pain literally every day. At 35, this is so depressing. I know I'm approved for the knee replacement and I wanted to wait, but I don't know how long I can afford to.
-
Yes!! I am struggling with that too! I really need to focus on drinking more water and not eating as much. It really is a big mind game for me, which I am pretty good at losing lol.
-
It's called six-star thermogenic, and I found it at Walmart. You can take 4 pills a day if you don't use other caffeine, but I drink Power Edge, which has caffeine, so I only take 1. It gives me a boost of energy, like Phentermine, but only last for a few hours.
-
It dropped a few pounds but not really. I have no idea what caused it, but I have come to the conclusion that I don't want to take Phentermine anymore. It's not that I am against it, but I hate the feelings I struggle with when I come off. I know it's normal to gain a few pounds back, but then you automatically think that…

Sautéed chicken breast mixed with cauliflower rice and onions. It has become one of my favorites!
-
Work the legs too!! LoL a big butt and tiny legs ends up looking like you are wearing an oversized diaper, haha. Ever seen the women who have fat injections in their butts??
-
Good luck!
-
Have you been to an ER lately? Y'all might give better advice.
-
Calm down, if I "might" need a doctor it obviously isn't that serious. And honestly, the post wasnt that serious either. Take a deep breath, it will be ok! Lol on another note, I've heard the super glue works too.
-
I've really been considering it lately, it hurts pretty bad most of the time. From what I hear, recovery might not even be as bad as normal knee surgery. My last surgery, my little pain ball that numbs your leg, started leaking. I made the really dumb decision to just pull it out lol. That might have been the worst…
-
Haha yes, before my knee surgeries. My knee is bone-on-bone in 3 areas, one being weight bearing. RICE doesn't help at all anymore, unfortunately.
-
I've tried it but my knee pain seems to flare up even worse. Perhaps it is like the cortisone flare you get with shots? I haven't given it much time to see.
