When eating the local fare, eat in moderation. Have light protein packed breakfasts so that you can have more energy and spare more calories for dinner and alcohol. Eat quinoa instead of rice. Quinoa has about the same density as rice but has less calories, more protein, and tastes good. Add some chia seeds to it, if you'd like, to keep you fuller longer. You can eat it for breakfast with eggs, for lunch, and/or dinner.
