You two are both my twins, please feel free to add me as well! I am 5'6", I started at 166 and am currently around 158 (I was at 156 until the holidays lol). My final goal is 140 or 135 ish. I do strength training 2x a week as well as running for cardio (which I suck at - trying to improve!) Some of my non-weight goals…

Warning: songs below may have explicit language I like to go to the "trending" music videos on youtube, they're usually pretty dancey and pump me up for a run! Yoga - Janelle Monae 24K Magic - Bruno Mars Bodak Yellow - Cardi B Trini Dem Girls - Nicki Minaj Side to Side - Ariana Grande Other songs: Realiti - Grimes She's a…

Hi Alison, until your doctor recommends otherwise, I would suggest you continue resting, even if your weight starts to go up. As others have suggested, to manage weight while you are healing you can cut back on your 'intake' calories, because your body will be burning less as you refrain from exercise. Your doctor will let…

I have been a vegetarian for quite a while, if you'd be open to a recommendation I love sunshine burgers! They are even better tasting and are a great meat-alternative.

Hi Raven, I did some googling and I haven't found anything (freely accessible) to back up the dairy-anxiety connection. The closest thing I found was in this peer reviewed paper about dairy products and their effects on humans.: http://advances.nutrition.org/content/5/2/131.full It references a study that found evidence of…

Awesome suggestions, thank you so much!

I think this is a great idea, thank you! I can definitely try to plan meals around a protein and add other foods on top of that.

I do strength training 2x a week (~1 hr of weights with a trainer) and cardio 2-3x a week (2-3 miles running each time, but I'm trying to increase that!) However I have a desk job so I'm sitting for long periods of time in the day unfortunately. I love the faye greek yogurt suggestion, and I will definitely look into some…

Thanks all for the replies! My protein goal (I think the MFP default) is 70g/day. I eat dairy and eggs, but I live with my mom who is lactose intolerant, so we don't really keep milk or yogurt around the house. Cheese is delish but has such a large fat/protein ratio I use up tons of my calories on it. I think my problem is…

I want to drop 7 lbs by February 1st! And to do that I need to run 3 times a week. I've been going twice a week til now, but the cold makes me not want to run outside... gonna have to find some motivation!

Also, sorry to double post, but look up recipes for Tuscan white bean kale soup. It's my absolute fave for the colder months and if you make a big batch you can freeze it -- it'll be the easiest dinner ever when you don't feel like cooking, but still want something healthy.

I love this thread!! And I second Kayt2206's Spaghetti Squash idea (I didn't know you could microwave it so I've been roasting for 45 mins every time lol - Will DEFINITELY be using that idea in the future). I just made some "pasta" with shrimp I found the other day: Spaghetti Squash Olive Oil Butter (optional but tasty)…

I love this question!! The other day I was trying to run for 30 minutes total, and I just felt crappy. I slowed down to a walk at the 20 minute mark and I really wanted to go home. Stared at my phone for a solid minute debating just giving up. So I texted my friends, told them I had 10 minutes to go, and asked them for…

I'm Pescetarian - if you aren't adverse to that feel free to add me!

I am absolutely the same way - great on weekdays, and very bad at staying on track on the weekends. I find that the sooner I log things, the more likely I am to stay accountable.

I'm 22, 5'6" and looking to lose ~25 lbs AND am attempting to run a 5k for the first time ever. Please feel free to add me!
