My goal for the month is 200. I had a doctor's appointment today, so I missed my Tuesday ride. I will ride Thursday. Good job everyone!

Thanks for the congrats y'all. I was so excited about meeting my goal and rode again today. So my August total is now 135.29. Guess what? 90.99 miles are from this week alone! September goal will be 200. I'm hoping to some day be as awesome as most of you!

I made my goal, I made my goal!!! Okay, so it was not very ambitious - only 100 for the month. School started back and I went a couple of weeks only riding once on the weekend. I have finally gotten into a groove after 3 weeks of school and back at it. I have ridden 107.85 miles and a little over 60 was done in the last 5…

Next month will definitely be a bigger goal.

So, my goal was only 100 miles for the month. It looks like I WILL be making this goal, but it's been crazy lately. We've had a lot of thunder storms lately. Today we had thunder storms, but I was able to get out and ride afterwards. It was nice, since the weather cooled down to about 86 after the rain. I have to ride less…

Thanks for the encouragement! I am not sure how to respond directly to posts, so I hope @HopHead28 and @howie6267 know that I appreciate y'all! Today was an amazing ride! I rode 20.18 miles and can tell my fitness level is improving. I generally struggle during a ride and then feel pretty shot out after. Today, my riding…

That is quite a goal. Good luck, from how it looks, you will make it!

Wow, impressive! Good Lawd, my goal is 100!

August goal - 100 miles. This is a big deal for me, as I have never really set a monthly mileage goal. 8/2 - 12.24 miles / Average 14.1 mph

I got a new bike and started tracking then. 7/16 - 8.72 miles 7/21 - 25 miles 7/28 - 17 miles 7/29 - 6.36 (it started storming) Question: are y'all trying to ride a certain speed? I ride with others who are very focused on getting faster. I ride a bike because I blew out my knee running, always trying to be faster. So I am…

Same here! I was a runner and actually ran a full on a really bum knee. I had surgery and was told that I should never run again due to needing a replacement at some point. My doc suggested cycling or swimming, and since I don't have a pool, and have issues with public pools, I am now a bike rider! I am really getting into…

I got a new road bike, I had been riding on a hybrid that rides more like a mtn bike. 7/16 - First ride on new bike - 8.72 mi. 7/21 - 25 miles Out of town, so I won't be riding again until next week. :/

That's pretty cool. My husband has a bike, but does not choose to ride at the moment. I have been riding on a schwinn, but recently went to a bike shop and got a road bike.

This is great. Speaking of age, my friend's dad is 74 and can ride circles around most people! My comfy speed is 12-12.5mph. I ride with a group and it's considered a "developmental" ride, but they average around 15mph and it's a challenge for me since we ride 25 miles. I guess it's character building!

I'm a pretty new rider and really havent ever set mileage goals for myself. Im going to say 50 miles per week. :) What kind of bikes do you ride?

Looks like some of are as saying similar things, just in different ways.

Have there been any studies or articles posted on the credibility of eating everything in moderation? If you have not posted verified studies and simply your own opinion or experience, then why would you be so invested someone else's opinion or experience?
-
In addition, you would not tell an alcoholic that they can drink in moderation. Not everyone will have an issue with eating in moderation, but some do. Doesn't hurt to recognize that.
-
You are right, I did not eat everything in moderation seeing as some foods can be triggers. I am just trying to give another perspective based on my experience.

Low carbing is a great way to change up your diet and lose those last pounds. Why not try it out for a couple weeks and see how you do?
-
To be perfectly honest, EIM to me is a crock. At the very least, it is not for everyone. Having lost 80 pounds, I realize there are certain things I NEED to stay away from. How do I know this? Because I ate everything in moderation all the way up 15 pounds! How? Simply put, some things overweight people eat are never going…

Way to go!
