Truth be told, it sounds like you have to cut back on your happy hours. I had to sacrifice/cut back on stuff I loved too when I realized I just couldn't find a way around it.

You should search the threads and groups for keto info. It's a huge fad right now and so many people ask about it, I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for and more.

I tried low/no carb for 2 weeks. Ate an Oreo, gained a pound. It's not for me. The scale can be total b.s. Incorporate carbs, see how you FEEL.

Recomp/resistance training. For reals. It WORKS.

Opt for the easy way? The nerve of you. If you haven't had it, mind your business. If you have had it, mind your business. Your opinion on her bypass is neither desired nor required.
-
Make sure you do resistance AND cardio training. Find out what works for you in terms of food, personally all I have to do is count my calories (don't have to count carbs or anything like that) and I'm fine.

Proceed with caution. MFP members do the same thing if they don't agree with a choice you made, like having gastric bypass surgery or saying you wear a plastic suit when you work out to sweat more.

Why not toss in olive oil or an olive oil/butter combo (like 2 tablespoons of olive oil, one of buttah), salt, pepper, and other assorted seasonings of your choice and roast them? I looooove roasted veggies. Mrs. Dash seasonings are incredible; I do add salt because I'm fine with my sodium intake but the they're great, esp…

Well, diet soda doesn't cause weight gain but for me, it's definitely a gateway drug. If I have a soda I'm going to burp which makes room for more food. It also gives me a sweets craving almost instantly. Like I said, gateway drug. But, the not eating after 7p, low carb, and skipping breakfast is bohonkey. I had a doctor's…

Five years out, I regained 50lbs. I was working two jobs, 80 hours a week, and relied on soda and all manner of junk food just to stay awake. My one day off, Sundays, the farthest I traveled was from the bed to the couch to the fridge and back to the couch. I cut back to 70 hours and started forcing myself to hit the gym,…

I'm pretty sure everyone realizes that cutting back drastically on these things is along the lines of what he meant. A lot of people who are overweight make the foods on his list their primary source of fuel which is where the problem lies. You don't have to cut these things out altogether but do you eat all of them every…

Icebox cake, peanut butter pie, pumpkin cookies.

Winter is baking season so when I know there is cake, I want to eat it.

^^Everything is good with caramelized onions. Why are you trying to go meatless?
-
Cottage cheese, some chicken, and garlic Triscuits. Except, I don't find it boring, I looooove cottage cheese. And garlic Triscuits. And chicken.

Having meals with fiber and protein help a bit. The protein gets you full faster, the fiber keeps you full longer. Don't neglect the carbs because not only are the good, quick energy sources but they're also part of a balanced diet and including them won't make you feel like you're missing out on something.

Most likely my Lean Cuisine and side salad lunches. Lately I've switched to oatmeal, banana, and Greek yogurt breakfasts instead of my usual chicken/hummus/baby spinach/avocado wraps but I've been trying to conserve day calories for what I know I'm going to spend on nights/weekends (thanks to the holidays).

I WISH I had your loose skin! I won't even post mine, it's godawful but I'm having an extended tummy tuck on 1/15 to get rid of it. From the looks of it, you're at a great weight, that's just skin, not fat.

I'm having surgery 1/15 and won't be able to exercise for 6 - 8 weeks but when I can resume, I'm going to try PiYo for the first time. It's different and why not?

Good job, both OP and @WatchitBeginAgain

Written in 1983, before we had such a large amount of sugar and sodium added to our foods, before so many things on our table were processed the way they are now. Food itself isn't the same as it was in 1983.

No.

Well, the headline DOES say diet.

Why on earth would mangoes be a bad fruit?

Pumpkin. They don't need the icing. They're AMAZING, like little pumpkin pillows. https://dearcrissy.com/pumpkin-cookies-recipe/

You should contact MFP directly.

It may not be real weight gain and just water/salt retention from the change? Did it stay?
-
Where is the 8lbs you want to lose to get to 120lbs? I don't see them.
-
No such thing. The least amount of time I've dedicated to lifting is 32 - 35 minutes while I was following a program (ChaLean Extreme).

Truthfully, I weigh everything as I'm making it, then I look at the finished product and think, how many of these can I put on my plate and count it as a serving? Five? Then it's five.
