My nutrition class is currently discussing the Mediterranean diet and 40% of their diet is fat with 30% of that coming from olive oil! There's a dietitian who has a site, Mediterraneanliving.com, with recipes and YouTube videos dissecting the diet if you want more thorough information.

I toss zucchini with olive or truffle oil, spices, and parmesan and roast it, we do this several times a week. I'm really going to miss the cold weather when I can just toss all of my veggies in the oven. I make a sweet potato hash with egg whites for breakfast and I plump up my salads with berries and apple pieces.

I follow home workout programs and I'm currently in the beta phase of T25. Today was dynamic core, glad it's done!

I work from home so I have some freedom in my lunches. Today I had boneless pork loin strips grilled on my George Foreman and roasted Brussels sprouts and leeks tossed in olive and truffle oils, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and umami seasoning from Trader Joe's.

Coconut water tastes like water that's already been in someone's mouth and the only way to eat sushi is to throw it in the trash. And olives come straight from the pit of hell.

People often confuse body positivity and fat acceptance. They're not the same. Being positive about your body when you are healthy and taking care of yourself is one thing. Refusing to admit you have bad habits and deciding to stay the way you are instead of fixing them is something else entirely. Although people love to…

The scale is one of the biggest deceivers, especially when you're lifting. Think more about how your clothes are fitting and how your body feels. Are you keeping track of your measurements? Remember, a pound of muscle takes up much less space than a pound of fat so if your muscle mass is increasing and your fat is…

Surgery is not a short term fix. It is a tool and although it is an amazing tool, it is still a tool and used improperly it is not going to work. Yes, it is still entirely up to you to change your attitude about food, your eating habits, your entire lifestyle. But the surgery is excellent at helping you get there. You have…

You're right about the carb thing, I'm still getting out of that. I know better too. I forgot about that difference between the two sites, thank you! I am going to split the difference and see what happens. Thanks so much.

Uncooked celery, peas, salmon, whole wheat pasta, cucumber, cauliflower.

I roasted a chicken today with a pot of arroz con habichuelas. We had guests so it was easy and plentiful. I measured mine out ahead of time.

I try (and usually fail, ugh) to make one of my rest days (I take two) an active day (like yoga). But what works for me is making sure that my first day back at a new week starts with one of my favorite workouts.

It was the best thing I ever did for myself. I had gastric bypass in 2011, lost 130lbs. Not really working on my relationship with food, plus working 70 - 80 hours a week contributed to a 45lb regain in 2015. I buckled down, reevaluated what I was eating and why, listed reasons to exercise other than weight loss, and cut…

I take Centrum for Women, glucosamine with chondroitin, and iron with vitamin C. I have an unopened bottle of calcium that I probably should be taking, I just haven't fit it into my day yet and you can't take iron and calcium together (the iron is more important to me because I'm anemic).

I was 224lbs by the time I was 14. So...for some of us, yes.

I add OxyClean and Fabuloso.

Potassium, calcium, iron. I have to take iron supplements and I take prenatal vitamins as well. I'm not pregnant but when you compare the labels for prenatals vs a multivitamin, they're just better.

YES. It was...yes.

Yes but... There wouldn't really be any continuity issue if you didn't.

I'm struggling with 1340.

I am intuitively going to eat like a hobbit so that does not work for me.

Cottage cheese. I was obsessed with it, had surgery, and now I can't stand it.

Search the groups, they have keto specific ones you can join for all of the information you want/need.

Use the search bar and/or join a keto group.

There are groups specifically geared towards keto. You should do a search, join some, and document your journey there.

If it works for you, it works!

Mine has taken to doing the same stuff. She used to be fit and healthy but she put on weight and has been bigger for the past few years and now, it's always some new crap. Shakes, pills, teas, etc etc. I give up.
