Incredible transformation Sir. Well done.

Wow you look incredible. Well done on such a significant loss. <3

Ok - had a look back through your diary for Nov. and then back into mid Oct. Your diary could stand an overhaul. There were days not complete and everyone I looked at showed you to be quite a deal below your goal of 1100 calories per day. Which by the way is far to low for you especially if you want to fuel your workouts…

Oh Gawd you are having a rough go of it eh?!?! Dilute vinegar, cold black tea and copious amounts of moisturiser maybe with aloe vera/vit E or whatever you can have on your skin due to your allergies. Pregnancy itching was a bugger for me, I don't know if this is making yuor current situation worse...sadly it was a case of…

@Verity1111 Thank you very much for your kind words. <3

Oh Elphie I am so sorry. That would have been a terrible experience, glad you were able to get help and the Dr. now knows to take extra care. All the best.

Gaining weight when you quit is not inevitable but it is common. I look at it this way, knowledge is power. It gives you the chance to avoid the pitfalls of over eating due to boredom, stress or food just tasting better. There is also the opportunity to offset any gain through extra exercise as you will feel less…

Oh dear I am sorry you are going through such a rough time. I have suffered with IBS/acid reflux, still do on occasions and honestly it is trial an error. Everyone is so individual as to what they can tolerate. One of the best things that I found was to avoid gluten (I have many reasons for this), eating smaller meals more…

Aww...good for you. You are a Champ. Thyroid issues are such a pain, well done for overcoming so many obstacles and keep on looking after yourself as you have and I am sure you will achieve all you set out to do.
-
Awesome job with the weightloss and overcoming so many obstacles...you are very strong and I have no doubt you will succeed with your projected weight loss. Your Son will be amazed and very happy with the stronger and healthier you. <3

Maybe you should focus on not making rediculous statements and assumptions.

For me I think the following qualities have been key to me maintaining my 168 lb loss for 4 years despite radically changed health circumstances. Patience Persistence and Flexibility When I started out at 48 I had a fairly rigid and incorrect way of looking at losing weight - pretty much revolved around deprivation and…

Sorry that you aren't well. To answer your question there is a place for both ointment and drops. I suffer with chronically dry eyes and of course this means more infections. As someone else has pointed out ointment is I think a better choice for helping and in particular resolving infections if applied at night and…

Yeah....I have found that to be very true @singingflutelady but it is very sad that I had to find that out on my own not by being advised by the Gastro. Dr. Now battling the Lupus et al I have noticed that despite my best endeavours I am 'flaring' now and again more and more....it can be a battle.

This whole 'journey' of losing weight and gym work can get a little tiring. Perhap after a long period you may feel a little fatigued and somewhat Meh about percieved restictions on your food, lifestyle and the time you are devoting to what may now be a stale routine. It takes quite a while to lose weight and a lifetime of…

Dr recommended to cut out gluten completely. I had ulcerative colitis as well as IBS for many years but the next colonoscopy was clear and most of my really bad IBS attacks had stopped.... Over time I have come to realize that I reacte to varying degrees to all grains, even those that are gluten free. Long story short I…

54 here and been maintaining a 168 lb loss for 4 years, struggle with muliple chronic health conditions but am motivated to find ways to work around and within these constraints, I try to always be a good supporter and looking for like minded friends. Feel free to add me.

@MissusMoon I just wanted to say how in awe I am of your strength and courage in the face of such difficult experiences. Your persistence and message of hope is very inspring. <3 You are doing an incredible job of looking after yourself which in turn can only help those around you in their time of need. I hope and pray…

Sorry you aren't feeling well but the good news is that weight loss is all about CI-CO. Exercise is great for overall fitness but eating at a deficit will get you where you want to be weight wise. Invest in kitchen scales and use them for everything that you eat, weigh in grams using reputable data entries on MFP such as…
-
Wow you were gorgeous in the before shot but just stunning in the after. Well done on such dedication and a fantastic loss. <3
-
Pick one of the scales and use that exclusively, otherwise you are probably going to just feel confused over any progess....scale weights can do some people in and make them feel very frustrated.
-
Dear @starrrjo I'm sorry if this repeats what others have said but I haven't had a chance to read all the replies. Please be reassured that many of us have felt these negative and to be honest soul destoying attitudes about ourselves being in a place we hate weight wise and it's very difficult to not feel utterly defeated…
-
Simple answer yes. My 168 lbs was lost and has been maintained for about 4 years now without ever setting foot in a gym.
-
Ah, the age old issue of others and their probably well intentioned gifts. It is quite possible that Hubby just went on auto pilot and gave you something that he knows form past experience you would love and thought no more deeply about it than that. Talk to him. Thank him but give him options for future gifts and explain…

*Waving over here* Me - dealing with anxiety, depression and Auto-immune disorders and chronic pain. The Lupus has certainly made its impact felt with exhaustion and my highly negative response to UV so my main form of exercise, hard, long walks is now out of the question. I've basically been able to maintain my weight…

Something else too about cleanses that hasn't been covered yet is the problems you may well cause yourself long term by 'upsetting' the natural balance in the flora of your gut. It has been my understanding and reading that we all have intestinal flora that is pretty unique. Hopefully it does it job but if that balance…

Congratualtions on such a milestone. Great to see you enjoying the celebration in style!!!
-
Ah I'm sorry that you are going through all this, it sounds really awful and very frustrating. I've just been diagnosed with Hyperthyroid issues with multiple nodules on the gland so I have been struggling myself with mood changes and anxiety combined with doses of debilitating lethargy. Doctors are keen to see "how things…

The most helpful thing I could suggest is to decrease your intake slowly, very slowly, to mitigate the caffeine withdrawal headaches, if weight from the sodas is also an issue do you enjoy the calorie free ones and make the switch. I know that there was a time where I dropped coffees cold turkey and I had a headche and…

Yeah, I'd agree with the appetite change too. Over time and with making changes that I was happy to live with my way of eating and the amount I felt I needed did adjust. I guess that is why it's pretty standard to suggest to those coming to the forums first up to make small, incremental changes as they go...nothing too…
