Can you change your food diary settings to public? How many calories are you eating per day?
-
Because when someone doesn't have a lot of weight to lose, it's harder to create the caloric deficit needed to lose weight at that rate. For example, my TDEE is in the neighborhood of 1600 calories a day. To lose a pound a week, I'd need to create a 500 calorie a day deficit, meaning I could eat approximately 1100 calories…

Some of the posts in the "Success Stories" forum here may also contribute to the problem; there are several where people detail losing well over 100lbs in a year or less. For someone who's new to this (or even someone who's done this for a while but has hit a plateau), it's hard to not make comparisons to that rate of loss…

Can you change your food diary settings to Public? We can give more helpful suggestions if we can see what you're doing now.
-
How much weight do you realistically have to lose? Are you within a healthy weight range now, or are you overweight?

Suddenly the wormwood thread makes more sense....

A few kalamatta olives and some pepper.

You also still do not understand the difference between a calorie and a macronutrient.
-
You still don't understand the difference between counting calories and CICO, do you?

Why can't he be an adult and research plans on his own?

Ham, scalloped potatoes, and green beans with sun-dried tomatoes. Dessert is a flourless chocolate hazelnut cake.

There's a guy on here who eats 80/10/10, lifts weights, and will tell you anything you never wanted to know about how awesome carbs are. On the other end, there's a gentleman who eats very low carb high fat (LCHF), who has lost good weigh and seen his blood work improve eating things that I have no interest in (sorry,…

I'm just not a dessert person; I'm fine going without it for months on end. That said, we're having Chocolate Hazelnut Something for dessert tomorrow night (pretty sure it's Nutella Cake, essentially); I'll make room for that in my calories for the day because Chocolate Hazelnut Something. But I don't feel like it's an…

Warning: I'm about to say something that may come across as really rude. .... Why do you talk to your mother? At best, it sounds like she is not helping. At worst, it sounds like she may be contributing to your problem. Maybe you shouldn't talk to her about anything having to do with weight. She just doesn't sound like she…

It's still not semantics.
-
No. Are you weighing everything you eat, in grams?
-
It's not semantics, that's the point. If you are losing weight, it's because of CICO. You may not be counting calories, but you are in a calorie deficit. That is CICO.

Surgery isn't going to stop this from happening.

No one has commented. They may have noticed, but not said anything. Weight loss is a sensitive subject for many people, and people may just be uncomfortable talking about it. That said, I started at 253, and really didn't notice on myself until I got into the 200's. It may take a bit more for you to see the change. Do you…

Gluten intolerant. Forced to substitute wine for the ramen.

Those are macronutrient, not calories.

Fat does not turn into muscle. Period. That's not how biology works.
-
No, it doesn't. Fat does not turn into muscle. That's not how it works, at all.
-
Fat does not magically become muscle.
-
OP, do you know what a calorie is? Do you understand what a calorie deficit is?
-
If you'll actually read the article about the professor who lost weight by eating primarily Twinkies, in addition to losing weight, his cholesterol also improved. Another gentleman did something similar, eating McDonald's. Same thing - lost weight, blood work improved.

Those are foods her kids are allergic to. Try reading the original post again.
