I have a small one I keep in my desk at work (because I got a larger capacity one for home). Maybe it's time for another for travel. Would have come in handy this morning estimating hotel cottage cheese.

Possibly. Great suggestion!

A lot to unpack here, but my first question is: How are you measuring your calorie intake?

I was convinced at 5'6" and 256lbs that I would need a surgical solution for weight loss. I was so convinced that I begrudgingly joined MFP to "prove" that I couldn't lose weight. Welp, I was totally wrong. I lost 100lbs in a little more than a year and have kept it off for almost 2, simply by tracking (with a food scale)…

I was a total moron with cooking for a very, very long time. It took me years to become a good cook and a bit of reading up on cooking terms, methods, etc. The one thing I did that really helped is to simplify my cooking a lot by focusing on things like how to cook certain cuts and types of meat. For example: How to grill…

Along with agreeing with everyone about the appropriate rate of loss (almost 4lbs is great in 3 weeks!)... I like to weigh every day and use an app called Libra (I think the iPHone version is called Happy Scale). It helps me keep an eye on my weight trend and surprisingly helps me worry less about the scale because I know…

I usually will have access to a grocery store, but not reliably fridge or microwave. I can work toward that though as I get better at booking my hotels. I didn't think of the streamable veggie/protein bags, so that's a great suggestion. Everything while travelling is stupid high sodium. :#

I take my Garmin off when I sleep. I'm not that interested in the sleep data, and find I sleep better without it. With it on, it just feel uncomfortable and I feel more wakeful.

My body doesn't do a very good job of letting me know what a normal amount of food is or being satisfied. Knowing there's an amount I can measure to in order to be a healthy weight takes the guessing and feelings out of the equation. I wish I could be normal, too, but I am glad I have learned one way to manage my weight…

I tried it to see if I liked the extra support. I found the app itself very inflexible and cumbersome. I have an Android, so there was no recipe building feature, which is huge for me since I cook for my family. I like the idea of Noom and I can see how that guided approach and gamification may really work for some. Wasn't…

One go-to option I use while travelling is soup! If there is a broth-based soup, I get a large bowl of soup and sometimes a side salad. It's a lot of food and usually the calorie profile is manageable. Another option is to order something like a steak and ask for double veggies and no carb. It's a calorie saver (I'm not…

I weigh daily, but sometimes take a break of a few weeks.

A serving of Honey nut Cheerios used to be 28g and now it is 37g.

It's probably a little aggressive, but not impossible. Once you meet the threshold and have the appointment, you can simply adjust your weight loss goals to something more reasonable like 1lb per week. You might see a little weight jump initially after increasing calories, but overall will continue to trend down. It might…

Getting additional calories for steps likely has something to do with how you set your activity level when you made a weight loss goal. Do you remember what you chose?
-
I'm bad at estimating, so counting calories with my food scale takes out the guesswork.

There are subscriptions for things like Les Mills On Demand with a variety of soon classes. That keeps me on track to workout at home.

I didn't want to lose weight fast, I wanted to lose it forever. So I took my time.

It's okay to have a chest meal and not feel guilty.

I've used Half Higdon plans for most of my running and have run 10k to 50k distances.

I do LMOD but more of a Body Pump gal. Can't really get the hang of Combat. I do CXWORX and Body Attack, too!

They help me poop.

What did your doctor say to do?

My daughter is Celiac and as a baby had blister butt, too.

I don't log anything I drink unless it has calories, like a cocktail or beer or if I put cream in my coffee.

I have it because I hate ads.

Beets! Until two months ago, I assumed I didn't like them. Now I eat them every day.

I'm fine with ballparking it, but there are so many variables, I am for consistency and personal growth.

I almost exclusively make boneless, skinless thighs instead of breasts. Super tender and juicy a d just a hair more calories.

Not worried about cost of self test. Worried about eating food that's gross.
