I really use Fitness Pal. I may eat at Taco Bell but I choose lighter items. I just try to keep under my calorie count for the day. I'm still losing weight

Plants have protien. This is always a concern I hear from everyone. Try quinoa, tofu, garbanzos, peas, beans, lentils, and there are even vegan protein powders.
