Look up vegan friendly protein options. Some that come to mind: Lentils, beans, peas, nuts, tempeh, tofu etc. There are also a ton of vegan protein supplements available in stores and online. I generally average 100g/day.

Hell yeah, I would

Generally I'll use 85g (About a blender full) with 8 oz almond milk and 25-30 g soy protein. The smoothie is as green as it gets, and I can't taste the spinach at all. Kale, I'm unsure. I've never tried it. Honestly, spinach is pretty cheap. If you don't like it after trying it, try to give it away or just cut your losses…

How can one not do both at the same time? Many people are able to do both, while sustaining the muscle mass they have. Perhaps a person may prefer one or the other, but that doesn't mean they CAN'T do both. If you're referring to someone running while simultaneously lifting a barbell over their head, please disregard my…

I usually gain about 8-10lbs in water weight. I have no idea why so much, but I do. It usually lasts about 1 week prior to 3-5 days after.

^This is so true.

Pretty generic, but: oats/vanilla almond milk/ banana/ pb2. I love this for breakfast! "Bacon, Egg, cheese" on toast/bagel: Vegan bacon slices (pre made or homemade), extra firm tofu, black salt (egg taste), daiya (or any brand) vegan cheddar. -The salt is really good, and does actually taste like eggs. If you can't find…

Generally speaking, your 1,200 should be your net. So yes, eat back those calories, or a portion of them. However, I don't think a 1,000 calorie net will hurt you - unless of course you net 1,000 or less for an extended period of time.

"The vegans"- I'm offended  People usually respond with that, because many who say CICO Isn't working are not logging properly. Yes, counting calories by weighing and measuring food is easy. It's so easy- many people find a way to mess it up. Not to mention, many of them are only upset they've only lost a couple…

Hey amber, welcome! Try going to the 'Introduce Yourself' forum - lots of new folks there as well. Good luck!

Use the "add exercise" function on the app/website. If what you do as exercise isn't listed, there's an option to create your own.

Great job so far! Keep up the good work!

Usually, yes they're about 150/1oz/28g. 150 calories of freakin heaven if you ask me
-
Understandable. You've gotten some pretty sound insight here. In any case, keep up the good work!

As others have said you'll fluctuate in your weight. However, worrying over a pound difference is a little over the top. Just my opinion.
-
My understanding: total calories = calories you burn via work outs + regular day-to-day calories burned. If you're trying to log workouts, you want the active calories, as these are the ones burned by intentional exercise. Hope this helps, good luck!

I agree with this 100%.

Body weight squats? -either way, that's amazing progress. Keep it up!

I too, usually lose a chunk at a time. Mostly around 3 weeks or so, I'll lose 2-4 lbs depending. Some may be water weight, but it's better than nothing at all!
