Y'all are welcome to add me too.

Meat and cheese and more meat and additional cheese... all fried in coconut oil and covered in butter. And eggs. Did I mention meat and cheese? I use avocado to keep the GI tract moving. I have to be careful with fats, because too much and my GI tract is basically a water slide. Yeah, that's a mental image for your day. I…

Well, *not* tracking got me to 306lbs, so I'm ok with tracking. I discovered that I eat the same foods in cycles. Rarely do I need to look up food; the 4 pages of recent foods plus the recipes I've entered takes care of probably 98% of my food entries. I even eat the same foods when I eat out. I also pre-log the whole day…

I workout fasted every day. It's 9:45a and I've had 45cals in a cup of coffee and done 1 2mi run and 1 3mi run. I'll get 60 minutes of yoga in before I eat around 1p although I'll add another 15-30cals between now and then. A girl has to have her hot tea. This is a personal preference. I prefer working out fasted, but it…

A heavy bag in the garage has kept me out of jail many times.

Starbucks Veranda Blonde Roast using a French press. Lighter roast, but great flavor and the press keeps the acid low. It's really the only coffee I can drink regularly. My gastro turned me onto French press and it's been heaven.

1. Continue my personal "Do More, Give More" challenge. Just over $400 donated in 2 months. 2. Make my 500k step goal for March. I just missed it in February and I'm not happy about that. I've been sick, but massive vomiting and diarrhea is no excuse! 3. Add another day each week of arms to my workout routine. Currently,…

Numbness and pain can also be inflammation. If LC is helping you reduce inflammation, then some pain and numbness will reduce too.

I use Muscle Milk Pro and occasionally Premier. No others have the nutritional profile or texture I'm willing to deal with. For vitamins, I stick with the Bariatric Advantage capsules, because those stay down even on my worst days.
-
I eat what will stay down, try to focus as much as possible on mild protein (baked chicken, scrambled or boiled eggs, tuna, shakes), and drink lots of fluids. I'm sick right now and have done higher carbs than normal the last two days, although nothing too crazy. It was the food I knew would stay down. A week won't break…

I'm doing a slow transition, since I was on a doctor-supervised very low cal diet (600-850cals) for most of last year. Now, I'm up to 1200-1400 per day, but still running a 1000 cal a day deficit due to exercise. Things have slowed for loss, but I'm definitely getting body recomp now. I'm getting smaller, but the weight is…

It depends on what I'm baking. Generally, I prefer Truvia baking blend, as it measures mostly 1:1 and has no aftertaste and few carbs. I will occasionally use Splenda baking, especially if it's cheesecake. I'm not a fan of the texture when I use Truvia in cheesecakes. I avoid Xylitol, as I have dogs and it's poisonous to…

Check your blood sugar. It could be that it's a low, especially if you're not eating a trigger food for dumping. Remember that if you're still losing, you're still going through major changes. Even 8mo post-op, your body is still healing and adjusting. Ensure it's not your blood sugar. If it's not, then it may just be your…

I found the pre-op diet a lot easier than many simply because I started preparing for it 16 weeks out, just like my dietitian told me to do. 16 weeks out, began dropping carbs by 10g per week, start measuring portions and logging food 8 weeks out, down to 100g or less carbs per day, learn how to wait out hunger for at…

As long as it doesn't actively hurt someone, I don't bother with a filter. Either you like me or you don't and there's nothing I can do about either one of those!

I'd just take a drug test and laugh. Seriously, I absolutely no longer give a *kitten* about pretty much anything that wastes my time. If a question can be answered with sarcasm, I'm going to do it. Besides, seeing the looks on people's faces is entertaining. This "getting old" business is pretty awesome. The day I turned…

I've noticed this as well. My work friends now treat me like a girl instead of one of the guys. I spend a lot of time in IT and suddenly, they're asking me girl stuff. I wasn't a girl at 300lbs? Apparently not. For years, I've been invisible. I think most of us know how that feels. And I liked it. I liked that when they…

It's normal. The hair loss was the hardest for me. No matter what I did, it went. I lost 70% total. I literally had bald spots and a few of them are still bald. I ended up cutting it off to a short shag and that's where I've been for 4 months. It's growing back slowly, but it's coming back.

I cut down on the HWC in my coffee/tea for just this reason. Nuts and seeds. Gotta have some according to my dietitian, but 250 cals worth some days? For this tiny, tiny serving of crunchy goodness? Gah! Occasionally, although rarely, I wish I could get butter calories back. I love butter, but some days...

I'm not entirely sure they read the comments. For my "bubble" answers, I got yelled at for eating in an unhealthy way. Yeah, bite it. For the "essay" answers, my answer to "what does your regular food day look like" my answer was "4 pots of coffee and a kilo of blow" and no one said a word.
-
That sucks, but really, it's going to get worse. There are a lot of hoops after surgery too and not just with doctors and insurance companies. The food hoops are pretty serious too. Best to get used to it now!

I suggest you log for a month everything you eat or drink and make sure you're measuring your food in grams. It's so easy for BLTs (bites, licks, tastes) to creep in or an extra condiment or a handful of something and boom, you're above maintenance. Also remember that as we age, our metabolism can slow, so what you were…

Your diary is closed, so it's hard to give advice. Have you been measuring and logging food faithfully? You have the knowledge how to get back to a 6/8, you just have to do it. A revision won't fix bad habits.
-
I log faithfully and my diary is open, but I am on a special diet, so my portions are off. The meals are still there and I'm happy to share recipes, if something I've logged interests you.

That 12 hours will definitely matter when timing the hooha waxing.

Spanx is your friend. My surgeon suggested wearing Spanx or another compression garment all the time. He says that reducing gravity's pull on the skin can help a tiny bit with tightening. It's definitely helping keep my belly fold from getting a rash.
-
I don't, because my weight loss is most definitely not linear. Congrats on the goal!

As Tawny says, it varies. I highly suggest taking 6 months regardless of what's required, because the education and new skills take time to learn and become habits.
