I had lumbar issues years ago. My empathy. I have C-spine issues sometimes. I have no way to explain the pain, it's unpleasant. I am of the belief that building muscle in the area helps. I lift to keep muscle.

Good luck. I had my last one in 2000. Yes I gained a few pounds but I wasn't watching calories then. You will be amazed when you smell a smoker! They reek!

Any place like Popeyes will be high. Any prepared convenience food are suspect. Cook your own if you are serious. I have had to go back on BP meds after moving to altitude. My new doc, shiny young lady, told me to change some things. No nsaids, benedryl, no mention of sodium! I didn't specifically ask since I eat low…
-
I think Popeyes is national. They were pretty big in the Midwest.

I retired at 56, and felt bad all the time. Two years later I developed tachycardia, resting heartrate over 100, ER said go home. My doc gave me a pill that didn't do much, said I really needed to lose weight. I honestly thought I was dying! Nothing magic, plain fear.

I have seen what you are describing. Somehow the application and the search engines are hitting different database schemas.

We just par boil a couple minutes and put them in an icy bath. They pull right off. Some folks make an X in the bottom of them too. I like the Plum varieties for canning.

My wife and I dropped 110 pounds together. We ate all the fruit we wanted. I know I after 6-8 servings daily.
-
Yeah it does. It's very gradual and I wouldn't worry about it, cause there ain't nothing you can do about it. At 60 I eat about half the calories as 20.
-
The biggest change was my thinking! Without that I would have failed. Number one was I felt horrible, I'd just been diagnosed with tachycardia(resting heartrate ove 100), when I asked what I could do, doc said lose weight. I don't know why but I was really afraid and my heart constantly thumping around 110 BPM reinforced…

Congratulations! My doc did tell me to lose when I asked what I could do. I was really feeling badly. He didn't expect me to though. I came back in 21 weeks down 42 pounds. The look on his nurse's face and her reaction told me docs seldom see their advice implemented.
-
I am glad someone likes the stuff.

Mine were not as good as I anticipated. However my doc sat down and went through the results. I was eating too much saturated fat and it showed. So even if you don't get your A, learn to improve. Congratulations on your loss!

My wife is on risperdal and told she'd gain weight on it. She did, 40 pounds. Then we started using MFP, her doc said she'd have to take a different med to lose weight. You should have seen the DR'S face when she next saw my wife, 50 pounds lighter. Docs don't get much education on diet.
-
Yeah I eat some. Small dark chocolate squares are good, some ice creams too. I was doing well until my bloodwork suggested too many saturated fats. I had to cut out the Ben and Jerry’s every night! I believe if it fits calories, macros and micros I can enjoy.

I use the home scale. Including weighing myself before going to the DR. in the same clothing and accessories and compare the two. If my weight goes down at home it's going down on another scale. If I know there's a couple pound delta between the two, I expect to know what the other scale will say. If it's not close then…

+1 We have the foil salmon packs several days a week. My good cholesterol was excellent.

I think that the arm cuffs tend to be accurate. It's odd my new PCP nurse uses a wrist one. Last time it was 30 points off! My BP by cuff was 155/90 her wrist model was 125/82! I was off both my BP meds for over a year. Diet and exercise, mainly walking. I also watch sodium and drink lots of water. I had cut all alcohol…
-
I have heard that working is helpful. OP, Best wishes.
-
It's an extrapolation of today's CICO. If you ate and exercise Exactly like today in 5 weeks you might weigh this. Is it accurate? Eat and exercise exactly the same for 35 days, report back.
-
It definitely helped me. I got off both BP meds for over a year. We moved to 7500' and I have had to go back on one. This thread makes me feel like ten less pounds and more cardio is in order. Good luck.
-
Sure did help! Made me realize they made me hungry and I needed a real answer. CICO!

Unless you have some sort of medical issues, quit worrying. Despite all the stuff say about detox, that's what your body does. Do you ever drink alcohol? That's really a poison, sugar isn't! If you have a drink do you need a detox? Of course not, your body removed the poison.

I worked with a guy who was really wacko about his food. We all have little issues on food, some people don't want theirs to touch etc...... This guy was nutty kinda guarding his plate, didn't want people to see his food. If you ever watched a dog guarding it's food, that's the look. He attributed all his issues his mother…

I've eaten it most days for almost 2 years. It's fine if it's calories are good. I don't care for the flavored stuff with sugar, steel cut with fruit.
-
I like it on cooked cabbage too, tastes great.
-
My wife is 5'3" when she lost the same amount by adding lifting to our exercise it was very noticeable. She went from a size 8 to a 4!
-
How are you doing with saturated fats? I was told to reduce mine. I guess 700 calories worth of Ben and Jerry’s is too much everyday.
-
Thank you. I cannot imagine trying to detox and doing a stupid cleanse! Why would anybody make he!! worse?

I wanted to go to a restaurant serving a big breakfast. I wanted bacon, eggs, hash browns, biscuits and gravy with pancakes, waffles and sausage! With a pile of butter and a jug of syrup. DW was a little intimidated by all of that and took me home. I think I pouted the rest of the day.
