Just dropped $30 a pound for local grass fed beef and $35 per pound for fresh Scottish Salmon.

I met with my shiny new young DR about hypertension and later asked about sodium. Her recommendation was under 2000mg daily. I asked as a patient with hypertension but she felt that under 2kmg daily was good for all. YMMV.

They post calories and Sodium! For some of us with medical issues, sodium is a problem.

My wife gained 40 pounds on risperdal. After a few years we changed our diet. Her doc said maybe we should change the meds. "You'll never lose weight on it". Six months later I saw the look on her face when DW had lost 40 pounds. My point is docs don't understand weight loss very well. CICO did work..Sometimes it is not…

Are you going to eat the head? Gotta love amiebi heads fried.

It takes time for the brain to see and accept the new look. I had a heck of a time in grocery stores. I'd just stand and wait for folks to move when there was plenty of room. Congratulations on your loss.

Sometimes I substitute eels for Oatmeal and have a bowl for breakfast.

Switch to salmon and sardines.

I am 5'9" too. Your BMI tops out around 170 #. I used two criteria, a normal BMI and off the rack jeans. I hit 165 and 32" waist, done. Some of its based on your build etc. BMI isn't perfect but it is an OK place to start. Congratulations on your loss.

I had Salmonella once. Spent three days in the bathroom and the next three days in the gastrointestinal unit. You really can't imagine what the gastrointestinal unit is like unless you have had the chance to smell it.

When products say that they significanty increase your metabolism it's a bold face untrue statement. Or an illegal drug. If something like that worked two things happen. There is no obesity left on the planet and someone became incredibly rich. When you see obesity disappear you can still buy the product.

I think you are telling my story.

I eat less than I used to. I noticed the difference in calories and now eat more chicken and fish. I still enjoy a good steak or burger once weekly.

I love the idea.

I can tell you that iron can do what you described.

Very true. I remember this beer commercial snow and pines with a clear running pristine water. I drove by the brewery years later. Looked like a toxic wasteland with a nasty industry lined muddy river at the bottom. No way you'd want to drink that.

DW and I lost the majority of our 110 pounds before we started walking. Even when you add in exercise the majority of weight loss is what you eat. I had a twenty pound loss, and all the numbers were spot on and tracked perfectly. Of the twenty pounds only 4 were attributed to the exercise. Best wishes.

You have two examples that are correct. It's good to understand basic math.

No matter what there's only so much water on the planet and it's a good bet that water has been around. Maybe you drank it before?

As little as possible. Melatonin works for me sometimes as does benedryl. I was on ambien for a while and I'll never take it again. What do you do when you have taken it and still can't sleep? It's not pretty.

Don't believe everything that side effects and or doctor's tell you about weight gain. DW went on something and doctor said your likely to gain weight, thirty pounds. DW is an over achiever and gained fourty. We started dieting and the doctor said you can't lose weight on that medication. Six months later I see the…

Your 42. Getting old ain't for sissys. You are not close to feeling old. Check back in twenty years.

DW and I lost a combined 110 pounds. Walking was the majority of the exercise.

When I was in the Netherlands they said buttermilk was the national drink. Perhaps the fellow was pulling my leg? I didn't drink the buttermilk.

A 200 calorie apple where? Does it weigh like a pound? What kind of apple? Sure the database entry is correct?
-
You could. I would consider it alcohol abuse. What flavor protein? How about a nice chocolate with peppermint schnapps? That's acceptable.

My experience as well. I remember 6 months after surgery waiting in line at a sandwich buffet. I smelled salami, I used to like salami. I spent the next half hour in the restroom from the fatty smelling salami.
