@darcijojo That's awesome! What program are you doing? I'm doing an executive MPA program, so I'll still be working FT. It's a 3-year program with classes one night a week. I'm nervous but excited.

so.very.sad :( :( :( I was so looking forward to it! I know it's tons of work on the part of the organizers, so I understand. I'm just sad because I'm not sure I can do one after this summer because I'm starting grad school in September, and I'd feel bad joining a team if I can't pull my own weight. I'll sure try, though!…

Yeeeah....it didn't stick at all, but it did snow several times throughout the day yesterday. Spring weather can't make up its mind. It will get up to 90s and low 100s by July but fortunately it's super dry so no humidity compounding it. Not sure I could do the training if it was humid too. :D

I'm hoping they start it up again soon! I've got two half marathons and a full between now and the end of August so plenty of activity minutes...plus it's so fun to learn about new places. And the weather is nicer (at least it usually is...it's currently snowing outside here in Utah :| ). Come on!!! :#

Oh my goodness, we only have like 20 minutes left. I got in as many minutes as I could and now I'm just dead...came so close to maxing out. Really hoping that @plainanjelik and @Queen_S_01 are able to get some challenge numbers in because that would give us a huge bump up! Would be nice to win first place outright just…

Hey friends! I can't believe tomorrow is our last day. I spent two hours at the pool this morning with my kids...only counting 45 minutes though because it wasn't ALL active time. I'm doing a long run later so that will help too. Thinking I might also do that 20 minute recovery day video again because that eas nice. We've…

Challenge #3 - finally reporting in! This week I have had baby spinach, green leaf lettuce, cucumbers, and jalapeno peppers. And cilantro because I love cilantro :)
-
LOL @Scherzie we chose the exact same two challenges  @aim630 I'm sorry to hear about your food poisoning! Hope you feel better soon! @lpeltenburg I added the 5 to challenge 3 for you :) @TaraDanielle40 I always have to open the spreadsheet on my desktop each Monday, and then it will work on my Sheets app. So…

@ddeliciosa Moab is gorgeous! I live just a couple hours north of there. Planning to take the kids down there soon to explore a bit :)

I was pacing back and forth last night while I watched the Ireland videos and just getting in some active minutes...and I realized 20 minutes in that I had plugged in my FitBit to charge an hour before and I hadn't put it back on. GAHHHH!!!! I was so mad at myself. I hate not getting credit for all those steps :P I'm still…

Challenge #1 I chose the "Muay Thai Anyone?" kickboxing video from Week 4 (Thailand)! Picked it because I actually really like this video (I had already done it a couple more times on my own since the initial challenge week). It gives me a good, quick workout and gets my heartrate up. Plus it's a good change from my normal…

Challenge #2: I chose the Randonnee on Réunion, or the 5K outside hike to Cascade du Trou de Fer challenge from Week 2 (Ile de la Réunion). I chose this challenge because we have absolutely gorgeous weather today and I wanted to celebrate spring by running outside on my lunch break :)
-
@MonicaA2013 I agree! Seriously! I think many are waiting to add until the last minute, so we get a false sense of security. Sigh. I'm going to do my best to max out this week and I hope many others do, too. Completing challenges 1 and 2 shouldn't be hard because we've done them all before, so pick whichever two work…

Hahahaha...just as I wrote that my 4-year-old put a bite in his mouth and yelled out, "I LIKE it! I really really like it!" LOL

Challenge #3 I chose thyme for my spice. I found a simple beef stew recipe a couple weeks ago (no other spices than salt and pepper), so I decided to add thyme. I put it on the beef while browning it and then added more to the gravy as it was cooking in the crockpot. GREAT flavor and definitely something I would make…

Hey Smashers, sorry I've been MIA this week! I feel like a crazy person trying to catch up at work after being gone for four days. Finally got back to the gym and running towards the end of the week and it feels so good. Today I ran a 5K with my sister and even ran to the race location so I could get more miles in (was…

I'm sorry I haven't put in big numbers so far this week...was traveling all day Monday and yesterday I think all the exhaustion from my trip hit me full force and I barely got half my usual step goal, with no exercise other than a little walk to wake myself up halfway through the day. I did Challenge #1 this morning (the…

@darcijojo Thank you so much! We will definitely check things out when we get there. Apparently our flight to Denver is now delayed so we are kickin' it at the San Antonio airport :P Maybe I will take the kids on an exploration walk to get some exercise/active minutes in.
-
Gah. We are literally on our way to the San Antonio airport, and I just got an email saying our connecting flight from Denver to SLC has been canceled. They rebooked us on a later flight, but now we have 8 HOURS to kill at the Denver airport. With two kids who are already super overtired. This is gonna be greeeeeaaaat. If…

Gah, we are always just right behind Team 1. Thanks for all you do, Smashers. I think most of us are trying our best and there's not much more we can do than that!

Challenge #3: I left soda behind for 5 days. I usually drink diet soda, and it was honestly pretty hard because I've been so exhausted this week and kept wanting to drink some caffeine for a pick-me-up, but I think leaving this vice behind (at least temporarily, I am sure I will pick it up again soon) helped me with…

Challenge #1: I chose to do the 10.49 Iditarod Race by running a half-marathon. This was my second one ever, I got a PR, and I ran it with my big brother, which was such a special experience. And it was much warmer weather than where I live (TX vs UT) so that was nice too, haha!
-
This has been the busiest week. I flew out to Texas with my family to help with my brother & SIL's fundraiser and run a half marathon. I am proud to say it is now all DONE, I am completely exhausted, and I am ready to rest most of the day tomorrow before we fly home Monday. I finished all the challenges, so I will post…

@plainanjelik cheese is a vice of mine too. I'm just not sure I could give it up for five days :P Good luck with that! I had my last soda from the fridge yesterday because I needed caffeine...baaaadddd migraine, worst I've had in probably a few years. It's mostly gone today but not completely. I had hoped to get more…
-
Oh! Forgot to post what I plan to give up for Challenge 3. I'm gonna go with soda. I justify it all the time by only drinking diet so no calories, but I'm drinking it way too much, especially when I should be drinking water instead. So no soda for me this week! I can do it!
-
Hey peeps! I'm so sorry I didn't push yesterday to get more minutes in so we could have claimed 1st place outright...it was a super rough day with kids misbehaving, husband yelling, poop accidents, tears (mine)...yeah, I'm glad that's over. But hey, another week is upon us so let's just move on. I'm honestly not sure how…
-
Happy Sunday, all! I'm not gonna be able to max out on minutes this week, so sorry...it's been a rough week with tapering before my race (so not going as far on my runs) and just lots of work meetings. I did get a little walk in today but I think that's all I will be able to do. Really hoping those of you that haven't…

Hey, Smashers :) I was planning to get up early this morning and do at least a 30-minute workout at home (snow is prohibiting outside workouts, grrrrr) but when my alarm went off, I knew I couldn't do it. Been behind on sleep and I needed a little extra. I wasn't able to do a lunch break workout either because of meetings.…

@lpeltenburg HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Hope it's awesome! Enjoy that warmth today! I was all planning on a run this morning. I knew a storm was coming in but I figured, it was close to 60 degrees yesterday, so how bad could it get overnight? Went to bed around 11:30pm and it was slightly raining. Woke up to like four inches of…

Challenge #1, done! I gotta say, I'm not so much a fan of group cardio videos All the comments from the girls behind the main one were really bugging me towards the end :P But hey, it's done, more minutes to log, and it was a decent workout even if I had to do most of the modifications because my body just doesn't want to…
