This here irritates me more than people being pushy about their exercise preference. My trainer is all about lifting heavy, my friends who run marathons are all about running, etc. I usually just say that anything that gets people up and moving has to be a good thing. I am a yoga instructor so I tend to talk about the…

I love this! My competitive nature doesn't always allow me to be proud of my own accomplishments, but I'm getting better. It was a good read for today since I've been down with yet another injury for the past week.

This x 100. As a yoga instructor I usually ask new students to try out my class a few times before making a decision if they like it or not. Yoga can be uncomfortable at times so getting used to that is important. I have also directed my students to other instructors or classes due to what they are looking for. This as…

That is exactly it!! I had a cookie in my hand and they really wanted it lol.

Haven't been able to get out yet this month but reading through this has me itching to go!! Maybe next week. @melaniefave41 your running partner is beautiful. Mine is an ornery pain in the butt that I haven't taken since I've started back running because he's too fast for me! He's the husky mix on the left, my beagle is to…

Woo! Met my goal!

I'm in for 50km. Hoping the weather holds enough for me to do this and that I get a treadmill for Christmas so I don't have to worry about the weather anymore!!

I am of the mindset that anything that gets people up and moving is a good thing. If this is what will motivate you to do something for your health then ignore the haters and go for it. I know several people who have memberships at our YMCA and PF. They like both places and can do different things at each facility. I agree…

I have to agree with those telling you that weight loss is not linear. I lost 4lbs one week near the beginning of logging, then I didn't lose anything at all for the next several weeks. Since then it's been slow going where it's been less than 1lb per week, sometimes even showing a gain. It sucks but like someone else…

Most people can handle more than they think. It's just important to listen to your body and back off if you are in pain beyond the occasional sore muscles or exhaustion sets in. If you want a rest day then take it. I like to do active rest where I may not lift or run but I will do yoga so I'm still getting some activity in…

Personally anemia has a major effect on everything I do. When my iron is low I'm tired, unable to work out due to low energy, I get headaches, and overall just feel like crap, which for me leads to unwise eating. I'd assume that the other lows you are talking about also have some of the same effects or worse. I can control…

This week's been tough with all the stress on the farm (husband is the farmer not me and he's out of the country!) then at my job. I finally got out yesterday afternoon and remembered why I run in the early morning!

I teach a cardio/HIIT class at a satellite of my local YMCA and they are greatly lacking on any equipment. We only have 8lb kettlebells and a couple of dumbbells (only up to 15lbs) to utilize. They have some fitness balls and aerobic steps there as well. For my class I find Pinterest and Facebook are helpful in keeping…

I like to keep it simple. Multivitamin, Glucosamine/Chondroitin w MSM, Whey protein since I can't seem to eat enough to reach my daily goal.

Got 3 in today!

I'm in. We are doing something similar at work where we post our mileage, but there is no goal. So this will give me a goal to work towards. Only going for 36 miles as I'm back at square one after over a year off due to injury.

I was using Isagenix for a short time, intending to use it for more of a protein shake because I liked the breakdown of the macros. I started using more and more of their products over time and it was helping a little with weight loss since I would replace more calorie dense snacks with theirs. Then I find out trying to…
