This forum reminds me that there are others in the same boat, and that makes me feel like a part of a community. That's why I keep coming back- the support has really helped me get this far, just being able to talk to others about this is a positive environment. You can do this, because we all are behind you- thank you for…

Thanks BT, at least you're still around! :)

I got up and ran on the treadmill for the first time this week- feel like I almost fell off the bandwagon there. Just been feeling really really tired with work and other stress but this morning my alarm went off to get up early and I didn't allow myself to think about it or talk myself out of it and stay in bed another…

You can do it Etta! I found that when I let myself eat whatever I wanted while on vacation or the weekends it was WAY more difficult to get back into a healthy routine. Having desert is fine, but in moderation. Like this past Saturday I let myself have an apple fritter at a festival we went to, but I only had one. I wanted…

I'm so proud of everyone! I feel super happy with how things are going when I look at the big picture. After losing weight with the group since the start, I had three weeks of the same weight (super frustrating) but now it is going again (lost 2 more pounds this past week)! We can do it- keep it up everyone!!

Welcome back! Glad you've jumped back on the train with us- we're here to support you! :)

Got home from work and it started sprinkling out- started to use that as an excuse to not run in my head, but then I was like "how is rain stopping me- really?" So I ran in the rain- two miles in 22 minutes. :)

Does the soy cheese melt like regular cheese? How was the flavor? I've never had soy cheese!

Just made this Butternut Squash and Spinach lasagna for dinner tonight. Pretty awesome. 8 total servings, with 263 calories per serving (I used part skim ricotta and 1% milk).

Gotta say, this week has been really rough. Mainly Wed & Thurs because of a wedding in the family this Saturday so having to do a lot of driving and coming home late. It made it difficult for me to get up to exercise. No exercise yesterday and none this morning. Hoping to get some in this afternoon and tomorrow before our…

I stayed the same for three weeks. Really frustrating, but this week I finally saw loss- 4 lbs! Don't be discouraged, not all bodies are the same. I just kept pretty strict to my caloric intake and kept running, and it finally came through. Keep it up! Also keep in mind, that with weight lifting your are going to always…

Allergies from the goldenrod in my area kicking my butt- I didn't get up this morning to exercise because I felt like crap. But this afternoon at dusk my husband and I took our three dogs out for a two mile brisk walk- and that felt really good. :)

That could mean a billion different things- are you weighing yourself only once a week, at the same time of day? Also what you have eaten lately, time of month and other things can cause bloating which can throw it off. If you don't think it's any of those things- can you look back on your week and see anything that might…

Felt crappy this morning- but I got up anyway and ran almost two miles on the treadmill before work. Been doing that all week. Glad it's finally Friday!

Awesome work! Keep it up!! :)

Thanks Celeste- and I realized this is the third week, not second that I'm still at the same weight. But yes, I have a scale- I use it to weigh meats and veggies for dinners. I guess I should try using it more. Plan out servings. Woo- I knew I'd hit road bumps, but this is disheartening- not gonna give up tho. Nope.

Still no change ... grr. I'm counting calories and running an average of 2 miles a day. WTH. :s This is the second week in a row. :(

30 min is better than nothing! Anywhere you can fit it in, fit it in. I couldn't fit workout time in during my day most days since going back to teaching this month with school opening, so now I get up an extra hour in the morning to jog. I didn't think I could do it, but after 3-4 days it is a part of my routine. If you…

I feel like the hardest part of not overeating is being around friends or family who are eating all the things you dont want to (or really want to but shouldn't). I try to make sure there are options available that I can eat a lot of, like celery and carrots and veggies. Also make sure to drink an entire glass of water.…

Such a good feeling of validation- I can't wait for that. Good job!! :)

I went on a field trip with my middle-schoolers hiking all day up and down a mountain in the area. Overall we went about 6-7 miles on foot. It was great, and I'm super glad I went with them. Great exercise- my body is sooooo tired but mentally I am soooo pumped I did it.

Hey BT are you feeling any better? Hope it hasn't effected your workouts :(. I don't know what you put in yoru smoothie for breakfast adding things like golden flax seed or chia for fiber might help. Also using plain greek yogurt for your dairy instead of milk or whatever else you use might be more gentle on your stomach.…

Thanks you guys!! BT- I really didn't think I could do it- thanks for the advice/support before on getting up early. Just DO IT. :D

Got up again today before work in the dark and ran a mile on the treadmill. I actually woke up before my alarm too. Super surprised.. it's like my body wants to get in shape too
-
Stayed the same this week- not sure why. Maybe because I went back to work and am trying to regulate a new schedule with eating & exercise. Hoping for more progress next week.
-
Finally got up at 5am and jogged for 20 min!! Today is my first day back to teach so I feel like it is a good way to start the new school year. :D
-
That's definitely progress- way to go!! (I actually said to my husband the other day that I'm "excited" to go to the dr. in the spring for my annual so I can see the progress I've made and puff out my chest as I say "Why yes, I actually have been exercising now!" lol)

I guess I need to break some ribs to keep me up- haha. No not really... that sounds horribly painful :(. Maybe I could try going to bed a half hour earlier or something. I feel like I wake up by myself around 6:30. I need to be getting up at 5 in order to have time for my workout. I just gotta try doing it more. Maybe…

Ran on the treadmill for 25 min. Only went about 1.5 miles, but at least I did something. Working and keeping an exercise regimen is difficult for me. I'm going to need to figure out a schedule. I come home from work and feel super tired. Make dinner. Eat dinner. Clean up after and it's already 7pm then work out and it's…

I went back to work today- not teaching yet till the 8th but for conference days today and tomorrow. It was my first test to see if I can keep up my workout routines. I didn't get up early :( But I went on the treadmill 2.25 miles in 42 min with an incline after work so that's something!
