My "why" is simple...* Look Good * Feel Great * Live Well

Around 25% And you look GREAT! :)

I hear the debate, and sometimes I just need to try something for myself. Cutting out processed junk carbs made a huge difference in my health. That's not science, but getting results are good enough for me. And bully to all of you who can eat whatever you want with zero consequence. That is so not me! :s

I just found my zone through trial and error. Metabolism is a function of weight, body fat, hormones, heart rate and who knows what else. All I need is a close, consistent estimate, and I'm good.

I'd be lying to say this is how it works. MFP recommends 1 pound of weight loss per week. Even this required oodles of discipline and many times I failed. It was simple but hard. That's life, but it's so worth it. I lost 100 pounds and have kept off the weight going on 3 years now. Here are some good links on this site…

Absolutely! Keep up the inspiring progress...

haha - sorry, no. Just consider how your system is being flushed out and cleaned. :)

I have a Jack Lalanne with no masticating ability, but it was cheaper. My solution is to blend back in some of the pulp. Anyway, good luck juicing! It totally transformed my health. There was just no way I was going to eat fruits and veggies otherwise... :#

My strongman uncle was lifting very heavy into his late 50's but warned me to stop now before I ended up like him. I did as he advised! He's is now in his 70's barely able to raise his arms laterally and is afflicted with arthritis is every joint. My bench, deadlift and squat is light compared to how I maxed out years…

Well done! Winners make a way...losers make excuses...

The rock wall is cool, and there is one night out of the week where people show up just for that. You get strapped up for safety, then climb your heart away with no fear of falling. .

I train at Paramount Sports Complex. I enjoy the variety of available possibilities. They have a rock wall, full weight room, cardio theater, resistance circuit, gymnastic area, martial arts room, aerobic room, full gymnasium, trampolines and fitness staff to address every need. I pay $20 per month with no contract. I LOVE…

I train 3 hours per session 6 days every week with 1 complete day off. My training days are cycled to rest from certain activities while engaging others. Rest is paramount. Nothing will set you back as fast and as far as over-training. Train hard, smart and take that day of rest when needed.

WELCOME! :)

As a general rule, fast weight loss = fast weight re-gain. NO THANKS!
-
Right, when I abused foods, I included the whole spectrum of macro's. And that is what got me fat. And losing 100 pounds involved 2 changes.* Quanity of food * Quality of food It's not rocket science...

I am disgusted more by the hog I became as opposed to the actual food.

Yes, exercise is good. You should start. With exercise, you can achieve things mere diet can't offer. Being fit transforms you inside and out. And you'll like more of what you see and feel as the weight comes off. Good Luck! :)

It was unsat to get yourself in this position, and looking for the fast cure is a prescription for failure. Trust me. I was always the most physically fit in my platoon. Address the issues that brought you where you are, then make the changes in your habits that involve proper diet and daily PT. You want a long-term fix -…

You know my answer... :) CHEAT MEAL - ENJOY! And when I go, I beat the rush and indulge in both just to help settle the debate. CONCLUSION: More research is needed...

Yikes! All that awful sugar in brownies.... :p

Try it?? My old office was right down from there, and I get one every trip to Philly. :) I eat what I consider "clean" 70% of the time, but life is also to be lived.
-
Oh, I would not even wait for them to finish before reaching into their plates with my fat, meaty fingers. It taught them to eat fast, because once my plate was cleaned, I was coming for yours. DISGUSTING! :s

I cut out any type of "diet" foods - like protein bars, shakes, frozen meals or whatever. I eat real, whole food with continuous treats and an occasional splurge.
-
I always ate back my calories and enjoyed every bite. I think too many stifle their metabolisms eating too little. That's no fun. Count me out of that herd. Do what you want, but just know that low calorie diets are not the only way to see results. I lost 100 pounds and have maintained for almost 3 years. My TDEE is around…

People treat me different. People treat me better! :) I suppose it's just nature, but I have noticed that everywhere I go, others go out of their way to be helpful, nice and engaging. And people just come up to talk to me, and I am taken back sometimes when I realize the approach was pure, raw attraction. I am not used to…

I love waking up early. While I perform my morning training, I watch the sun rise. It's energizing, and I am ready to hit the ground running for work. I accomplish more before 9am than most do the whole day, and by 11am, my work day is over.
