  • Biryani. Been my favorite since childhood and since pretty much every house in the subcontinent have their own version, the best version was made by my mother and now by my sister. Its basically rice, meats, some veggies (like onions, tomatoes, herbs), yogurt and LOTS of spices but it is so so so so SO good!
  • Please refrain from saying such ignorant thing about your mother who cared enough to think of buying you a healthy cake. Mistakes happen, let them go. Just remember the end goal, which is family. You can walk off the calories or make it up over the rest of the week but you cannot easily get another loving mother. Cherish…
  • I will just leave this here for anyone interested https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1087041/so-i-hear-mfp-likes-indian-food/p1
  • You're eating more than you think you are. You are eating more than 2k calories if you're not losing weight (assuming that the 2k calories target is based on your TDEE minus 20ish percent). Get more precise at counting calories. Win.
  • Heres how you can up your twinkie game: put some cream and condensed milk together, whip em up, drown the twinkie in it and then eat it. It tastes EPIC!
  • Look how much younger you look! Amazing results and great dedication!
  • Are you following any particular program? For starters doing weight lifting, you should look into programs such as stronglifts 5x5 which will give you great head start. For cardio, I usually like to go do my weight lifting and then just walk on treadmill slowly till I am just exhausted. Stronglifts is done 3 days a week so…
  • It depends on you personally and where you think you are mentally about your control over foods. I used to be very aware of what I am doing nutritionally because I had been logging on MFP for years religiously and so that gave me a sort of second nature of stop at a point because I knew I would go over. Or if I was going…
  • Hey im4gryffindor (love the username btw), What kind of suggestions are you looking for? MFP encourages you to eat anything and everything in moderations and according to the macros set by you for your own fitness goals. If you're weight lifting, you would need more protein etc and might go for a higher protein and fat…
  • Calculate your TDEE (I like the calculator on http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ the rest of the website is crap but the calculator is pretty good) and work with that. Make custom workout and count only 1 calorie for all your workouts (though its not really needed, it just helps you with the logging your…
  • 60 Miles Target during the month of September.
  • here, hope this helps https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1038039/ramadan-fasting-mfp-and-you-a-guide/p1
  • lolwut?
  • It depends person to person but since you're asking what I usually do, at the time of iftar (sunset. Around 7:00 PM in Saudi Arabia) I eat 2-4 dates with about 4-5 pakora and whatever I have cooked (usually flat bread and some form of curry). Then I pray etc and nap a bit and around 11:00 PM I drink 2 scoops of protein…
  • @OP : Sorry that this has been your experience on the social media. It sucks but these things will happen. Doesn't have much to do with the gender, perhaps more to do with the "opposite" gender. Regardless, just block them and move on. There are plenty of lovely people on the internet who you will cherish as close friends.…
  • KitKat. I just make sure to save up some calories for it. Sometimes its Lays Ketchup potato chips. Sometimes its both!
  • I don't understand why this sexist thread continues on the forums! #EqualRights
  • oh, I'm glad you made a thread about vegans and vegetarians. I was starting to feel sad for them since they keep mentioning in random conversation about how they are vegan/vegetarian.
  • You think reddit is the sludge of the internet.....AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! OMG I CANNOT BREATHE...
  • This is facfreakintastic! Keep it up!

  • Meal prep, meal prep, AND meal prep. If you want to cut down on eating out, prepare your weekly plan and cook in advance or at least prep it so during the week you don't have to spend more than 10 minutes on preparing a meal. Most of the time we eat out because we are tired and don't wanna cook. This solves that issue.…
  • The American version uses too much tahini for once. The actual version is much thicker with very little tahini. Like, you can actually taste the chickpeas for the most part. It's suppose to be like this because in Arabic hummus literally means "chickpeas" (type حمص in google translate to see.) And no paprika. NO! I have…
  • Isn't the American version of hummus bastardized enough?
  • There ya go, ladies.
  • Does your chest feel lighter? Almost as if you might have loose some weight in the chest?
  • Cocaine. Because negative calories.
  • I highly suggest stronglifts. the above linked group is excellent and has tons of support and resources (even for men)
  • A general rule to follow while on a "diet" is to allow yourself a little bit of junk food. 20% of your calroies are a decent number to allot to junk foods. Can can be your daily alowance to eat whatever/however you want. The rest can be lean proteins, veggies and whole grains but those 20% of the calories can be ice cream…
  • If you have any device that tells you how many calories you have burned (HRM) then it will be more accurate. For 40-45 miles bike rides, you have to fuel yourself properly. I would recommend at least eating half the calories MFP is teling you that you burned. One mistake many make is forcing ourself to eat but what you are…
  • Chicken queso burritto, Quesadilla, and then cheesecake. Thats my goal for the weekend.
