  • Good job, lady!! We started at the same weight and I'm currently just a smidge away from 60 lbs lost. It's a great feeling, isn't it?
  • You could make your own with yogurt and a ranch dressing seasoning packet. I make it with 0% fat Greek yogurt with just enough milk to get a good consistency. It doesn't keep as long but you can make whatever amount you will use.
  • I uprooted my life and moved 2500 miles away when my husband joined the military, if that counts... Honestly, I'm counting the days until we can go home (only 1289 to go or so...fml). I don't think I could do this if it was something he wanted to do for life... His parents were trying to push him to stay in to retirement…
  • I'm 5'5" tall and my initial goal was an arbitrary 163. I just wanted to lose 60 lbs. Well, I'm at 164.4 now and I've decided to lower my goal to 145-150 range...who knows if I'll be satisfied there either. I've never been thin my entire adult life, so hopefully I'll know where I'm comfortable when I get there, lol. I just…
  • Those bra sizing calculators never work for me. It always spits out a way too big cup size. I used the 'a bra that fits' one, and admittedly it's getting closer to accurate as I've lost weight, but when I was still a lot heavier it was waaaayy off. I actually on a whim ordered from a good uk company in the size it said and…
  • Mine have shrunk considerably. 40c or d to 34/36 b or c (depending on band stretchiness and brand) with 55 lbs lost. I've lost about 10 inches in my bust measurements (48 to 38) but a lot of that was back fat. Lol. When I lay flat they disappear. It's whatever. I usually just wear bralettes now.
  • -When rain finally falls after its been dry for a long time -Lemon/citrus -Fresh cut pine -Honey suckle blooms, also lilac -Fresh baked bread Bonus one: I've always loved the smell of tomato plants when it's really hot outside. Idk why.
  • Last week I was craving chocolate chip cookies...Which makes no sense because I have never even particularly liked them before. So I decided to make some, I love to bake but I had never made chocolate chip ones before. Very VERY bad idea. Never again. I'm still thinking about those damn cookies and they've been gone for…
  • Lived in the dry heat in Idaho my whole life, then moved to coastal Virginia last year...I didn't know how good I had it! 100 degrees there has a heat index of 100, or less if there's a breeze, here 100 degrees has an index of up to 120 some days. I miss the dryness so much. Can't wait to get out of this hellhole. Screw…

  • My parents have two cats, Harold and Walter. Not that funny, but I like when pets have old man names. They also have a Kozmo and a Jabby, short for Jabber Jaws because he never shuts the hell up. We also had one named Orville when I was a kid. My cat's named Doey, and my dogs are Moose and Muffin, ya know, cuz if you give…
  • I have pcos and also had sporadic periods. After I lost the first 20 lbs I started getting them regularly and had one every month since September, just on a longer cycle, about 35 days. I've now lost 55 lbs, been in a deficit for over a year now, but I missed July's period. It came back this month like normal. I think mine…

I get ahead of myself and push send before I should. -I'm pretty sure I have undiagnosed ADD. -I talk too much. -I'm pretty narcissistic. -I can't keep a secret. Get me drunk and ask me questions and I will tell you all about me and anyone else I know anything…
  • Smokey is too cliché, IMO. Grey cat is ok... I had a dog named Dog. And a cat named Meow Meow. Names are not my forte. I'm dreading having to name a child someday. Current cat is is a 20 lb. orange stripey cat named Doey. Dogs are Moose (german shorthair/lab) and Muffin (heeler/border collie/mutt). Muffin is a misnomer. I…
  • I just want to chime in to commiserate over the weather here in VA. I live in VB and recently went home to Idaho and relished in the dry heat for a month. Got back here and I feel like I might melt. I've been avoiding the outdoors like the plague. As for your other issues, I can only tell you about what I've done. For me…
  • From my highest weight: gold brick. Since starting here on mfp: a small bale of hay plus one ostrich egg. I love this list.
  • Well...I drove across the country by myself last weekend (Virginia to Idaho, 2500 miles) to be with my family at my cousins funeral. He shot himself last Wednesday. He just turned 26, we grew up together. I am staying at my parents house, but they are getting a divorce so all my mom's stuff is gone and it's horrible. Home…
  • I drank that many calories just in alcohol alone on Tuesday. I also had greasy au gratin potatoes and cherry pie. I logged it all, 3700+ total calories for the day, and I've moved on. I regret nothing. Life's too short to stress about one 'bad' day in regards to food. I agree with the above poster that bad days can be way…
  • What's your activity level set at here on mfp? You don't have to eat any back to see if the burn matches. You just compare calories eaten, calories Fitbit says you've burned and actual lbs lost/gained/maintained. You'll just need more time to gather enough data.
  • Could be you just walk a lot faster than me. I went back and pulled six weeks of data from Fitbit and MFP and it showed that Fitbit underestimates my burn about 90 calories per day. Everyone's different though so you'll just have to pick and amount to eat back and see.
  • That's quite a few active minutes. That means you were moving consistently enough during that time that the Fitbit decided to track it. Mine doesn't track my active minutes if I'm not walking fast enough, lol. My last 16,000 step day was Saturday with 47 active minutes and 2210 calories burned total. That's a big…
  • I have a Fitbit one and we have the same stats...how long are you on your feet during the day? Like on days I purposefully walk a lot of steps all at once I burn less than days I am taking less steps per hour but I am on my feet all day. I have found that my One is actually pretty accurate for me.
  • One time we had like no food and I ate hotdog buns smothered in mustard...like 4 of them.
  • I'm 25. And I'm no athlete, lol. The only exercise I get is walking. I shoot for the recommended 10000 steps/day though.
  • When I check it first thing in the morning before I get up it's around 50-55 bpm. Just sitting on the couch in the afternoon it's usually around 60-65.
  • SW: 223 lbs CW: 174 lbs Height: 5'4.75" Age: 25 Bust/waist/hips: 40/34/40 I just bought a pair of size 10 and size 14 shorts on the same day at the same store. The 10s fit like a glove and the 14s are comfortably loose, but still fit nicely. I also have a pair of Earl jeans in a 14 that fit decently. US sizing is so messed…
  • Just add your deficit to your calorie goal. 1lb/week is a 500 calorie deficit. That's what I do when mfp and Fitbit are fighting.
  • My full name has 23 letters: 3 Ss and 4 Ns...that's 190 burpees. 200 combined jumping jacks. 40 push-ups. A 7 minute wall sit. 15 second arm circles and 15 squats. No thanks, I'm good. Lol.
  • I totally understand that feeling. When I go to squeeze through a gap (like in a restaurant or whatever) I still get that anxiety that I won't fit. When I fit through without even touching anything it still blows my mind. Idk how long it will be until I'm used to taking up less space.
  • My body tends to go from 'I could eat' to starving with no in-between. I think my hunger signals are broken. The other day I wasn't particularly hungry and decided to have a go at mowing my lawn. I have a man-power only push mower so it can be pretty hard work...but my lawn isn't huge and it wasn't hot. Anyway, I got about…
