I have Hashinotos too and it is frustrating. I've been on synthroid all along and you'd think that when your blood work comes back normal after an increase in medication that the weight would magically come off but, it doesn't

I have hypothyroidism too and thankfully it's under control at the moment. I had my Meds upped in June. I'm not sure how long you've been hypothyroid but, it's been 26 years for me. It makes it more difficult to lose weight but, not impossible. I eat under 1200 calories most days and exercise 6 days a week doing cardio and…

My gym had an orientation that goes over all the equipment. I have worked out 1x a week with a trainer for the past 7 months. My first few times going by myself were scary but, I kept going and now I go 5x a week. See if you can download a strength training program for beginners and carry it with you at the gym. Honestly…

I go back to work soon too and I'm also worried about it. I've started to plan in my head what I need to do. Pack healthy lunches the night before, pre plan dinners in advance. I make a menu plan for the week on the bottom of my grocery list. Enlist support from others. Talk to your co-workers about your weight loss maybe…

I have 3 kids and a full time job too. When my kids were younger I would take their bikes to the track and walk while they biked. Kids usually like to be involved in exercise. Play soccer or frisbee with them. A yoga tape. I also try to walk on my breaks at work.

Your story sounds similar to mine. I've been healthy and fit and I've been chunky and unfit. I'm back on the journey to healthy and fit again. There are alot of informative comments that people have made. So I'm only going to comment on your comment of being naturally lazy. I sometimes think that about myself too too but,…

I take every Sunday off. I may go for a light walk with my dogs but, that's it. If you are feeling tired I would think your body is telling you that you need the rest.

Wow, wow and wow!! You have done amazing and you look healthier. Keep up the great work, every step is a step closer to your goals. I love seeing people's pictures, they truly tell the story of how hard you have worked. I think I need to say one more WOW!!

I was feeling the same way. I was in a mental fog and had very little energy. Listen to your body. Some people take a nap because they are tired occasionally, when your levels aren't right it feels like you can fall asleep standing up. It may appear to others that I'm lazy but, during those times I'm just surviving. Get…

Lol, that certainly put it into perspective for me! I'm struggling too and love the analogy.

Thank you. That was helpful information.

I'm not sure what TDEE is but I will look it up. The more I'm learning seems the more I need to learn

I have a doctors appointment on Friday to get the results of my blood work on my new dose. I have Hashimotos as well and have been reading that often doctors see the results as normal even when they are barely normal and it's better to be on an optimal dose than a 'normal' dose. I am feeling much better than I was but…

I do get occasional swelling in my hands and ankles usually during hot weather. I also find to many carbs make me sleepy. l am concerned about the amount of Tylenol and ibuprofen I take the alternative is opiates though and I'm very hesitant to take them unless I am flared up and incapacitated.

It seems the consensus is to weigh everything. I'm certainly willing to try that and I may find I am eating more than I think I am. I am on pain Meds. I take about 3000mg of extra strength Tylenol 800mg of ibuprofen and 300mg of Lyrica for referred pain and numbness in my leg. I am also taking Synthroid for hypothyroidism.…

I'm using MyFitnessPal as an indicator of how many calories I've burned as well as the equipment at the gym for my cardio work outs. I also the MapMyWalk app for hiking and walking. Exercise is part of my rehab program and after exercise I am able to get about an hour of pain free life. I haven't been measuring with a…
