@christch that sounds like something I aspire to! I did look into starting a vegetable garden. Your lifestyle sounds wonderful. At the moment I do not have the time. So rely on batch cooking and the freezer. @SeriousP I've just found Dani on youtube, she's great!

I'm no expert at all but just something that I've been looking into based on suggestions from a nutritionalist and a gym manager. Refeeding generates more leptin and cortisol which boost metabolism. I don't know if that's what happened here but it could be the answer. While it still operates on an average of CICO it allows…

My sister is a huge fan of CC and given how I work out thinks its something I should be doing. I'm meeting her for dinner tonight to get more info so might be joining you guys!

Still waiting! I didn't think they meant next Friday. So tomorrow...

I'm in Ireland so different shops. I go to farmers markets and the Organic Supermarket but it is crazy expensive and very much out of my way. Locally we have a grocery shop and 2 large supermarkets but all they do is promote unhealthy bad fattening food. You never see the organic stuff on special. The promotional stands…

I'd recommend the nutri ninja. Its very quick to make the smoothies and very quick to clean.

I've wondered that too and just logged it as circuit training. That formula is very handy!

I include it when I have it. If you look at my food diary now though in comparison to when I started on this site I tend to have it a lot less. I'm here about 2 months and like that couldn't stand the idea of cutting out what I liked. However when I started to learn about what foods contain what calories I've been making…

I'd drink about 2 litres a day, it can be up to 3 though. I drink more when I'm in the office because the aircon makes me feel dehydrated. Or on intense workout days. If I'm not working out and I'm just at home I might have about 1 litre.

Thanks for the blog! Oh my god my eyes are really being opened here. This is brilliant :)

I'm also new to the group! Just joined and did the first run on Sunday. I'm hoping to do 50k and hopefully build on my mileage from there.

I bought a cauliflower...going to try this pizza!

Talk about buyer beware. Is it one big conspiracy to promote unhealthiness so we need to spend more on healthcare? I'd definitely rather come home to something quick, easy and convenient. I love cooking but don't have time to cook every day. This thread is telling me that the freezer is our best friend. That's kind of sad.

See, I did not know this. I really like the idea of pumpkin bread. I prefer savoury foods

 I keep saying that to my partner and making these ridiculous poses. Cheek of him the other night he said "maybe I cant notice it cause I see you every day". So I tensed even harder and shouted LOOK AT MY MUSCLES :) I see them

Pumpkin alfredo sauce? That sounds delicious. Oh my mouth is watering, I might have to try that. Also loving the idea of an oil substitute! Thanks :)

My mother used to do Jane Fonda videos on VHS. I found some that looked familiar on Youtube but haven't worked out to them.

I love fresh lemon and ginger in water - either hot or cold. I agree...its the bomb.

Welcome back! It worked for you before so you know it will work again :)

Ive lost 10lbs in the last 2 months and wouldn't have been as motivated if it wasn't for the support here! Feel free to add me if you wish.

Well done to both you and your husband! That's hugely inspirational. Congratulations on the pregnancy. It must feel so wonderful having transformed your whole world.

This is a better way of explaining what I try to do! I'll be doing another run tomorrow so I'll see how it goes with managing the stitches.
-
My first running challenge. I'm at 5.9/50. Still a way to go but I'll get there!

Mine is open, feel free to add.

I'm from Dublin, feel free to add me :)

I thought it was carrot juice! If it was carrot juice I have (but tend to put seeds or greek yoghurt with the fruit salad).

If I don't focus on my breathing I get a stitch so after about 1k I slow my breathing and try to exhale on alternating feet.

Brilliant! Well done! I used to be a runner and only started back this July. I did a 5k in August in 31minutes 18 and a 5k yesterday in 28minutes 50. So stick with it, the improvements happen. That's a really fantastic pace, you must be very proud of yourself.

The retreat was something I would have liked to have done but it was very pricey! That's why I volunteered. :)
