Interesting... I will start keeping an eye on that myself.

I'm officially at about 25, unofficially closer to 30 & it's just started to be a'thing.' At first people who know me just said things like 'oh you look well' or 'did you cut your hair?' but now they worm me into a corner & say 'WHAT ARE YOU DOING??' And all of a sudden complete strangers tell me I look just like my skinny…

@singingflutelady I had a boss with crohns. That's a tough one... You're right!

Okay @TheBeachgod I'm down with the sharting if I get to wear one of those outfits & choreograph the whole episode like a Bollywood production...

Baked chicken wings. I use a mixture of Frank's, sriracha & melted butter. Homemade blue cheese dip with pt Reyes local blue, Greek yogurt & homemade paleo mayo. Veggies. Hummus. Some kind of vegan cheese thing my neighbor is all excited to make. Prolly some guacamole in there somewhere. Potato chips. You know, northern CA…

Also, I layer proteins in every meal. A meat or egg main, some cheese, a grain with protein, maybe a condiment like Greek yogurt. It adds up that way.

@HappyCampr1 women who abuse fiber! it can be a thing!

Oh and I had two glasses of wine. I BET IT WAS THE WINE!!!!!!!! Hahahahaha

My diary is open! I had a vega one shake with berries and baby greens, then a delicious Indian lunch of chana dal & brown rice biryani at my school site (it's a charter school with an organic lunch program & private chef paid for by parents). There was some broccoli served too. I had sunflower seeds for a snack, and then…

Run your ingredients thru the recipe feature here & you'll get a full nutritional break down. I started using Kodiak Cake's protein pancake mix in place of flour when I make scones, biscuits or cookies to add protein to my baked goods.

LOL) -tacos -fish & chips -really good biscuits & gravy -ollaberries & marionberries -super premium dark chocolate - a perfect slice of decadent carrot cake - grouper - salmon - did I mention tacos?? - homemade gnocchi - dry…

Chin up rabbit... You're a problem solver. My money's on you. xoxoxo

Best to just move on. At the end of a full week you'll see its impact is less on your weekly deficit than you might have imagined. The WORST thing you can do is stop trying because things are no longer 'perfect.' Days like this will always happen. Look at the positives: you're not lying to yourself. It's just one day. You…

Thanks! You've all made me feel much better! BTW: it was all just regular food fiber. No fiber ones or anything like that. (My college age daughter has a funny story about those backing up on some boys at high school cross country camp.)

Hahaha... And within my calorie deficit!!! I don't think I could replicate this if I tried. Okay. Now I'm worried...

I seem to tap out right around 4000. Any of the holidays where I've practiced free eating & logged after (approximations, but thoughtfully chosen) it has added up to right around 4000. That must be where my tummy-meter says 'whoa!'
-
If you are not weighing foods you may not be in the deficit you think you are in. (It's a red flag to me when people say that they can hardly eat all 1200 calories.) Unfortunately, tinier people often have to go for more modest deficits to lose weight while safely meeting their nutritional needs. Sounds like you are losing…

I can be the type who goes hard too. Important lessons to learn there. Wishing you all the best for lasting & sustainable solutions. xoL

I like dance + yoga + lifting. They all work me differently. For dance I do Zumba & UrbanKick. For lifting I'm doing strong lifts 5x5 with a friend. We are NEVER bored! LOL

M-Th I have a pretty simple rotation. Some crockpot recipes, some protein rich salads, some pastas/risottos and tacos/enchiladas. A little carry out in a pinch. Friday I buy fresh fish, so lots of variety there. On Saturdays we grill a red meat and on Sunday I make a chicken supper. Those are the nights when I might try…

Venison is tasty. So are elk & caribou. My dad brings me venison & elk. Caribou is harder to come by. I love all game meats. We get a lot of boar here in northern ca.
-
I like a protein shake for an on the go breakfast. And my daughters who are distance runners like one for a recovery treat. We use vega one & add frozen fruit, power greens and Greek yogurt.

Good one!

If you have that BMR because you are tall, that is not optimal. If you have that BMR because you were obese then it is probably not so significant because the BMR of your lean body mass lurking in there would be less. But really it is your TDEE that you want to calculate from to lose weight.
-
If it's any consolation ladies I'm 53 & have seen 90% of my divorced friends get about 200% leaner & hotter than they ever were before in this gawdawful process. So the numbers on your side! Just don't forget to hang onto this new sense of commitment to self when you partner up again in the future. Best wishes to you all.…
-
Are you confusing BMR with TDEE? The first is just the amount a body -- any body -- at your particular age, gender, height, and weight burns doing the most basic functions of breathing, cell turnover, sleep maintenance, brain firing, etc. Once your feet hit the floor to head for the loo in the morning you have entered the…
