Checking in: I've been doing it, but yesterday was difficult. I worked out with my son, a 21-year old Viking who does not know that I am not also a 21-year old Viking, and we did 100 push ups in 10-rep increments between all the other lifting we were doing. Blarg. l have sore muscles for my birthday.

I'll try it! I'm going to try for 1 minute in the morning and one at night for 30 days. If nothing else, it will tone me up so that in February I can do some kind of horrible pushup challenge. Thanks for alll the research on different ways to do it. That was really cool.

That's really good to know. I'm going to try to start walking my lunches and drinking iced green tea first. I hope it's not an allergy, but it will be interesting to see how I react to the other solutions people provided. I can't try everything all at once, so I figure I will give it a month and then see about decreasing…

How's everyone do? I failed at it because of a sick spouse and a death in the family. Steps just kind of fell by the wayside, as it were.

OK, I owe two check-ins! Tuesday, the battery on my UP had to be changed, so I am confident in saying tht I made at least 7637 steps. Yesterday, I made it to 10,913.

Thanks, everyone! I am sorry I didn't get to check in yesterday. I was super busy. BUT, I started walking on my lunch break at work, and yesterday I made 12396 steps. So we're all off to a good start
